    Guildtax
I will start this thread now because things changed and it seems to be time to discuss and find a new system how chars will be taxing - or not^^

Just leave your whishes and ideas here so we can find out what will be the best way.

For the beginning Falko has set all tax on 0 now. Changes will be done on individual demand until we found our solution together.

    Hi there,

Well, I will give my thoughts. I agree with exp donation (Tax) when there is a valid reason. Example, woe guilds always charge tax and I understand why they do it.

Since stardust is not a woe guild and from what I have heard from most of members " Will never be", I don't see any reason for taxing members.

The guild is already level 8, and there are many slots for new members. What I see is that many people have 2, 3, 4 chars in the main guild which gives the idea that the guild is full.

I am not interested in being taxed, I level more than most of members, therefore I will give more experience. I have no problem with people deciding in being taxed, but I believe it should be a personal decision not an imposed decision.

    Cheers.
    O.

Personally I think that the guild is big enough at the moment.

We are not wanting skills of WoE, and have space for an average or 3-4 characters a player in the guild.

If people want to pay tax, they can - but I reckon that should be people with high level chars, or who perhaps want to play a char they don't want to level as fast as might otherwise due to RPG/share-range or other reasons.

I'd like to see people try to move chars around from time to keep more active chars in Stardust. We join the guild for the social side of things, so it is nice to see people around. (Thanks Sua for bringing Erion in, and Manah for Dystopia - this means we see you around more often & more easily ^^).

We are not using the guild for power and WoE, we are using the guild for social benefits. Therefore let's make it as social and easy a place to meet people in as possible. If you want some quiet time, then leave guild with a char, or play a different char or just turn messages off. We should be able to keep it so the there is more or less always several of us online during evenings (although this might change on Thursdays if everyone is playing unusual characters for the Thursday night parties).

If we find that we get more people joining and the guild need to get bigger, then people who want to can volunteer to pay tax. We can hold higher level tax parties (put all the high chars on 50% for an evening, go to a map with chunky sized monsters and we will add some millions of XP in a few hours). But taxing lower level chars a small amount just seems fairly pointless now we are in the realm of needing 50m XP plus per guild level, and now we have a guild that is - in all honesty - big enough to hold us.

So, to make simple, my thoughts...

    1) 0% standard tax rate for all.

    2) If you want to pay tax, then ask, and pay, but to make it easier on Falko who has to make changes please do this on a medium term basis (not just for a few hours).

    3) If we need to grow for some reason, can ask for volunteers and also hold tax parties.

    4) Not related to tax, but nice I think... Let us try to move chars around to keep active chars in the biggest guild so we can find each other socially (even if on different maps) more often. It is (I find) welcoming to come into a chatting, active guild in RO after a tough day in RL. Better than coming into an empty place that seems to echo when you go 'hello!'.

    Agree.

This is good, just like what Bruce did ^^.

I totally agree with this point and I personally enjoy chatting in game, I may not have interesting topic but some communications in guild is always a good thing :D

How many slots do we have now? I'd like to keep Wilde, Dys and Xenero in the guild, and maybe one slot for changing chars (not sure if I need it, some of them are in other guilds). Cairiel and Mikkeli just take up space, I guess^^

And I'm not sure, but the guild skills could be useful for MvP parties^^

I think the guild skills might only be active during WoE alas - not sure, but most* on irowiki say "Can only be used during guild sieges" or something similar (which is sad, because they could indeed be very cool vs MPVs or just in big parties...)

We have 44 slots. So enough for about 4 chars each I think, on average. With several people only wanting 1 or 2 slots then we can have plenty or room I think to have 1-3 slots plus a spare for everyone :)

    ---

    * The stat bonus if within a few squares skills( can be used outside WoE, but need a _lot_ of guild XP for a relatively small bonus, and mean you need the guild-leading with you at all times. I think they might be best done if we make a guild specifically for forgers/potters etc... +5 DEX is nice for them, and they don't have to worry about wanting stats divisible by 10 for best effect.

Getting that skill for a 1st level guild would take 82 million guild XP though - given I get 3 x +5 DEX food every time I do the hugel hide&seek quest, I'm really not convinced that is worth the effort!

The really nice heal and regenerate skills only work in WoE :(

Actually, the skills work everywhere and any time, not only in WoE.

Hi Falko, still haven't read your opinion about this issue. I also would like to know why few days ago you put all members to donate 2% but your chars you put 0% donation?

    O.

Oliver, everybody had 2% with few exceptions, not only some days ago.

And I oppose strongly getting even 1exp for Erion without tax before 96 ^-^
(Oh and Lyriell should too, but not so important, since I dont play her often ^^)

I don't want to copy the post now but I agree completely in Tims post above.
So I just subscribe his 1. - 4. because I am too lazy to write the same again in my own words

Sua, no, falko changed the % to ALL Members without exception, the ONLY chars with 0% were his chars and Aura priest. (This changed happened 5 days ago, and that's the reason why this thread was created because it wasn't fair at all.)

Tim, Lili and I were the only people online that day.

I have no intention in creating any drama, I just want to understand why falko said to Tim and myself that he would leave Oliver's donation to 0% and after few days he changed to 2%, not only mine donation but everyone in the guild but kept his chars 0%.

And I haven't heard what he thinks about all of this yet.

    O.

All tax is down now except the fixed 50% rank and Erion, who insists on taxing.

Edit: There seems to be a problem with the tax adjustment. I changed tax back to 0% several times before it was finally saved.
