Hi All,

My first posting on this forum, what a great resource!

Can anyone identify a silver-plated coil, probably from either a radio transmitter or an antenna tuner, RAF part number 10R/63? From the construction, I would say that it is part of a rotary coil usually called a "roller coaster" in that the coil rotates in a housing and has a small wheel which makes contact with the wire of the coil, making the inductive value of the coil variable to tune the transmitter or antenna. I can post a photo if that's any help.

Sounds like part of an ARC-5 series American WW2 radio transmitter.

The roller inductor can be seen through the window on the front panel of this SCR-274.
