The forthcoming Finnish tourdates have been updated. ALTARIA also performs a free show, open for all ages, in their home town Pietarsaari on Saturday, July 22nd. The show is part of Jaakon Päivät city festival, and the showtime is at 22:00 (10PM).

The rest of the tour merchandise is now for sale - with lowered price, 15 €!
- T-shirts, sizes available: M, L, XL and XXL. On the front there is the cover image of The Fallen Empire album with the ALTARIA logo, and on the back there are Touring The Fallen Empires 2006 tourdates.
- Girlies with ALTARIA logo on the chest: sizes S and M are still available.

Jani Liimatainen on tour with ALTARIA
After starting the successful Finnish tour J-P is having some health issues, so the doctor has ordered him to rest for at least a week. Jani Liimatainen, who was a member of ALTARIA during the first five years, will replace J-P on the gigs until Alanen is fully recovered. Jani will play with ALTARIA at least during the next three live shows:

The vocalist Taage has decided to leave ALTARIA. "It has become clear during this year that Taage and the other members of ALTARIA had different priorities. When we wanted Taage to invest more time for ALTARIA, he decided to quit. The band and Taage had different perspective on few other things, too, which might have been part of the reason he decided to leave the band.", explains drummer Tony Smedjebacka.
ALTARIA is currently auditioning singers and writing songs for the fourth, yet untitled album, which will be released in the fall of 2007. The new singer will be announced early next year.

The search is over! ALTARIA has found their man to take the place behind the microphone. Multitalented vocalist Marco Luponero attended the auditions and managed to impress the band to the point that he was invited to join. The things apart from Marco's singing that caught the band's eye (and ear) was his high-class songwriting skills as well as his stage charisma. Altaria is currently rehearsing for the following shows with LORDI and HAMMERFALL as well as writing material for the forthcoming album. Here's a greeting from the man himself:
"Hello everyone! My name is Marco Luponero and I'm proud to introduce myself as the new singer of ALTARIA. Considering that I've known both Tony and Marko for many years, and that we've shared the same stage on several occations, it seems almost odd that it's not until now that we have joined our forces. My musical background is somewhat different from the other members', I've been singing mostly in more brutal kinds of bands than Altaria, the most recent being Terrorwheel, from which a few of you might recognize me. But as I started my solo project Luponero I switched to a more melodic style of singing, that also fits Altaria's sound. I'm looking forward to play my first gig with the band and I also hope to see you all very soon! Take care!"

ALTARIA is one of the nominees for annual Bubbling Under Award of Noise.fi. The public voting is located at www.noise.fi/vuosiaanestys/ (only in Finnish). The voting is open until January 31st, so please remember to vote for ALTARIA while you still can.

ALTARIA supporting LORDI / New vocalist
ALTARIA is confirmed to support the Finnish Eurovision-winning monsters LORDI on February 10th 2007 in Pietarsaari. This is the last one of the only two shows LORDI will be performing in Finland before the Eurovision 2007 finals on May 12th. To make the show even more special, ALTARIA will introduce their new singer that night.
You need to be fast to get to see this rare opportunity, since most of the tickets have already been sold. The tickets can be bought at www.lippupalvelu.fi. The price is 37 euros and the show is open for all ages. The doors open at 18:00, ALTARIA hits the stage at 19:00 and LORDI begins to play at 20:30.
