    Me 109 or FW 190 part ?
    Hello,
    :n97:
Who could help and confirm me this is a position light coming from a Messerschmitt 109 tail ? Some told me it could come from a FW 190 but the crash i'm looking for is a Messerschmitt one !

    Any idea appreciated
    Stef

    Stephane,

do you have no part numbers ?
    I think it´s a "Hecklicht" with part number FL32563 and 126-106A
This light was used on Bf109 and Fw190 but I´m not sure if the holder was used on both aircrafts...

    Regards
    Nils

    It´s no problem

The "Hecklicht" is a standart light, but I think the holder could be different between the aircrafts and the version of this aircrafts...

If you have more parts from this crash site, let us know !
Do you have details about the pilot and his fate, a date of crash ?

    Regards
    Nils

    Me 109
Some details i have :n110: , this part is coming from a german crash site wich i believe is a plane from JG76, downed early october 1944 between Belfort and Alsace (Elsass). Pilot is not yet identified but i have ideas (need evidences !). According to eye-witnesses of the crash, pilot bailed out but was wounded. Sorry for not being accurate but i haven't my file open. More coming soon ! (with pics of other parts i've found !).

    All the best !
    Stephane
