Just saw the show... an awesome, well performed tribute to the once great band by two participating former members + Paul Rodgers. Many great songs were performed from the Queen catalog, along with a few Bad Company tunes and "Alright Now" from Rodgers' days with Free. Well worth seeing if there are any shows left on the tour...
I saw them here in Philly on March 14th. For lack of a better word they simply killed.
I notice that Brian May broke a string before he even started playing "Tie Your Mother Down." He managed to play the song without it pretty well.
He managed the tune by switching to one of his spares and very quickly I might add. He seemed like he had tech trouble all night long, but put on an amazing show anyway.
I went to the Anaheim show a few days before Vegas. Definitely a great show! We got to stand right up at the catwalk through the whole show, which was just amazing to be able to watch Brian May from that close up!

They are musical gods, and Freddie Mercury was the best rock singer to ever walk the planet.
They are one of the best and most unique sounding bands ever to walk the earth.
Brian May was (and is) a splended guitarist. He is also completely unique. You recognize him and when you hear a song you know it is him right away, regardless of if you have heard that song before or not. I think that his guitar tone is wonderful, and again, unique. And even if you don't like his tone, you can't really use that to say that he's a crappy guitar player. Blame the tone on the guitar that he built out of a 200 year old mantel place and the amp that John Deacon made for him. It's because of those things that his tone is unlike any other guitarist on earth.
Many millions of fans still listen to Queen, and Freddie is still remembered and, in some cases, worshiped by them. Queen didn't die with Freddie by any means.
I become a huge queen fan in the process. i can't stop listening to them. so many great songs. sheer heart attack is my favorite album right now.

Acutally for christmas i was suppose to get a queencd, but instead my grandma got mixed up and gave me Queens of the Stoneage......
Also me and two friends made a kick ass music video for dont stop me now. At the guitar solo i run out with a black acoustic rolling on the ground fingering all the notes with my legs kicking up in the air. Good times.
Roger Taylor played drums for Robert Plant once.
And Roger, Freddie and Brian sang backing vocals on one of my favourite songs ever.
Oh, and I love Queen too.
Im a BIG Queen fan, Get hol of 'Live at the Beeb' awesome album, same with 'Queen at the BBC' but you cant beat Queen I or II for there best studio albums.

I "discovered" them loooong time ago (early 1991), when I was checking some of my cousin's old 45s, and i put Crazy Little Thing 45'... "hey, I know this song! finally i know who plays it". But it was when I checked B-side that I got REALLY hooked: We Will Rock You (Live Killers version, fast). The Brian's raw guitar sound, Freddie's vocals and energy and Roger fast drumming made listen to it as many tiems as i could the rest of the day...
Later on i found We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions 45', and the Greatest Hits LP... man what an awesome band! After that I could stop until i got all the CDs
I didn't actually get into Queen until a few years ago, at about the same time I started getting into Zeppelin, when my sister decided to buy A Night at the Opera.
