Yes. It looks like parts of radial engine. From the top of the cylinder.

Hi Nils
On the second picture are lamels (or ribs) from the head of cylinder. And on the part You mentioned are those lamels too. I`ll be convinced that those fragment are from the radial engine.

Nils, i agree with Martin.
i have a couple of those from a B17. ive always assumed they were cooling fins from the engine cylinder.
the other part with the screw thread could be where the hardened steel valve seat is fitted into the alloy cylinder head. i think the screw in valve seating has been mentioned elsewhere, possibly by Martin? (mucks).
Perhaps he will comment when he sees this

Hi to all.
Looking at the part on the right,yes I agree it must be from cylinder head.There is two possible reasons I think this, the grooves are slightly angled and consist of eleven fine threads,which also tells me that what ever was srewed into it was designed to take stress and not likeley to come loose under working tempatures like alloy and steel as they expand at differant rates.I also think the thread was right hand thread.
So know this brings me to think either valve seat or push rod tubes(the tube contained the rods that opened the valves between rocker arm and camshaft) as rotary engines would have them usually threaded into the cylinder head, and push fit the other end into the crank case.Please look at any rotary engine picture or old design motor cycle engine.The surface below the threads is smooth which indecates internal part of engine.I can see to the left of part, which looks to be cooling fins.Look at the picture of my B24 cylinder head that Roy posted for me on the site this may help.
