    Hi,

    who knows the usage of this brass screwing of an unknown Lancaster crash site.The thread in the middle is 0,5",the size is 11cm x 4,4 cm (4,33" x 1,73")and the marking is SR I or 1.

    Hi Holger,

    my first tought is, it is a kind of quick release fastener.
    The stamp "SR" looks like more than a "SB" (Short Brother) :n156:

    It does look like SR, I have seen a circular stamp with SR and a number before, it was on parts from a Supermarine Sea Otter that had been built by Saunders Roe.

    It is possible that they were making parts that were going into AGS supplies.
