Edgar,having tested the app very thoroughly,i have found what i can only term as bugs.firstly whenever i try to open VIEW-EARTH it takes maybe 2 mins to open sometimes not at all,also a similar problem with STOPWATCH.the other items,moon/moon phases open very quickly.please advise,thank you.

Yes, the earth start-up is slow. The problem is the slow city database from the phone.
Your 6600 is not the fastest phone, but 2 minutes is really too much.
Do you tried a program, which installs a lot of cities to the phone ?
Anyway, I have to improve YTime in the earth start-up phase.

To Start the Earth is with my 6680 in 4 -5 seconds.

Edgar,also on my 6600,i have psiloc world clock,psiloc world traveller,and mobimate standard.these three apps each have a large database,but they all start very very quickly.ytime earth does need to be speeded up quite a bit.do not forget the similar problem with stopwatch.regards

As I remember, this databases are using only english names for cities and countries. I don't want to support this. But I find a way. :wink:
About the stopwatch: Could you be more precisely about the behavior.

Edgar,firstly thanks for your help with my login problem.yes the STOPWATCH,also is very slow to open.when i select it the app remains on,say the clock screen,there is no indication that STOPWATCH is opening,after a long time it does open.regards

Zum Thema öffnen der Erde Ansicht habe ich bei mir folgendes festgestellt:
Wenn ich auf Ansichten Erde gehe, und durch Druck auf den Navikey öffne, dann dauert es ewig bzw. die Erdansicht wird gar nicht geöffnet.
Wenn ich aber auf Ansichten Erde gehe, und mit dem linken Softkey Auswählen öffne, dann geht es recht schnell das die Erdansicht geöffnet wird.

Das ist nicht abhängig vom gewählten Menüpunkt.
Stimmt aber, dass da anscheinend ein Fehler nicht korrekt behandelt wird.
Werde mich darum kümmern.
