Von Null auf 100 in 40 MInuten. Wer sind die Arctic Monkeys eigentlich, keiner weiß es, aber sie haben sich in die Herzen der Indie Rocker gespielt. Angefangen hat alles mit dem Ohrwurm "I bet that you look good on the dancefloor", wo jeder dachte, den kann man nicht toppen. Dann kam aber "When the sun goes down" ein unglaublicher Brecher und nicht mehr aus dem Kopf zu kriegen. Und auf diesem Niveau bewegen sich alle Songs, alles passt einfach.
Super Gitarren, tolles Tempo und passende Texte. Wer Franz Ferdinand mag, mag mit sicherheit Arctic Monkeys noch mehr. Einziges Manko, wie bei vielen Alben neuerding, die Gesamtlänge des Albums, mit knapp 40 Minuten zu wenig. Aber es gibt schlimmeres. Und das ist nur ein Tropfen auf den heißen Stein. Und die Arctic Monkeys sind definitiv HEISS!

Ja Mardy Bum ist toll, aber was heißt das???
Ich hab den ihren neuen Videoclip auf MTV gsehn (weiß leider nicht mehr welches Lied) und der ist auch voll toll! Man sieht nur den Schlagzeuger, was mal was knorkeliges is, sonst ist der ja immer sehr im Hintergrund und der Sänger im Vordergrund (-> siehe Gregor von Tokyo Hotel:-) ). Der Sänger taucht im gesamten Clip nicht auf, genauso wenig Bassist und Gitarrist.

Aber das Lied ist toll 8)
