Wow! One heck of a surprise today!
I've got this David Copperfield DVD (yes, the illusionist) - excellent, by the way - and I'd always noticed his great choice of music in the production. Particularly, there were two tracks in in-between footage he'd used; catchy and melodic songs. I actually used to sing along, "never really suvaa" (Didn't know which song, just liked it).
Eric (a friend from the GR board) sent me Condition Red (limited edition) some days ago and I hadn't gotten around listening to the entire CD until today. Vaguely enjoying the intro of the track after Thunderbird ("Crazy"), there was a moment of sheer surprise.
"I see you my friend" Piet says.
It's the same song from the DVD, Iron Savior-style. The entire day I've been singing it. Even did a quick recording. Weird cover (by an artist called "Seal") - I love it! The lyrics are deep (and I can understand why Piet decided to do this song).
Made my day ;)

Isn´t Seal known in Nepal? He is famous here in Germany, not just because of his music, which is really good for pop, imo, but also because he is married to german supermodel Heidi Klumb.
And I really like that cover.
Do you know that funny "Headhunter" cover IS did? The original song is by Krokus, I think. Something different after so many (really good) Judas Priest Covers.

Well, he might be. I'm one of those ignorant metal fans, not interested in other genres much lol :P
But I've discovered some great music in other genres too these days; I'm teaching myself to like what I like ;) Bought this "Cafe Del Mar" CD sometime ago - it's downbeat - awesome! ;)
"Headhunter" Yes! :P It's a really fun cover... haven't heard the original, though.
I downloaded Seal's "Crazy" as well :) It's fun.

Yup, it´s always good (and fun) to listen to different styles of music. I have the feeling that I need that kind of input to stay sane, sometimes.
Except for metal, I also listen to a heap of jazz, folk, classic and experimental/psychedelic stuff.
Oh, did I tell you about that funny hard rock band from Berlin I like very much? Taskafalar?

It's fun, I realize, to infuse styles of other genres into the music I love. The result is interesting, to say the least. Crazy is the inspiration for this realization ;)
