It's such a long time we don't meet, at least I see him on the screen :wink: As for dogs, no unfortunately... no dog here... there's no room enough, I have a weird working time and nobody who could take care of my pet when I'm not home. :( That's sad since I love dogs (well, I love any kind of animals, not only dogs! :D )... In case I'd have one, I would love a big dog, like kinda little horse, the bigger the better!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

What about the subj - I love pets very much, I guess I'd have cat or dog but my life doesn't let me do so - sometimes I'm not at home for weeks, sometime I don't have enough money to buy food to me, not speaking about the 'little brother' :). So life is young and I think I'd rather take a dog to my children in future, than for me and now :)

None of this pets came to my life due to my own choice. They are with me just for coincidence. :shock:
I do not enjoy pets. I mean, they are great, but somehow I am uncomfortable knowing that I HAVE to get home to feed them, change water, change litter, etc... Oh lord, is a real PAIN in the... ...neck. :cry:
It diminishes your freedom somehow. (Somehow? Make it A LOT, that's more like it!!)
Also, I had two dogs before - same situation, it was just fate, but I did not really want to have them. It was a nightmare.
I guess that you need to be a special type of person to enjoy pets, and I respect people who have this type of generous will.
I love animals, I respect them, in fact I feel a lot more respect for them than I feel for some "people", I will never do anything to harm them, but that is not enough to make me enjoy having them.
I think I will never have kids, same reason. :roll:
I have felt like this since I was 8, and it hasn't change a bit since then.

I respect animals much more than I respect human beings, just for the fact they don't lie and that's already quite a lot... :wink: I think in a way you are right, keeping a pet is a big responsability (if you REALLY love your little friend) and it diminishes your freedom, but it also gives you a lot of fun and affection which can be hardly replaced :D Well, with children it's just the same, though it's of course much harder than taking care of just a pet! :shock: But I think our lives are full of these situations and we need to face them to *grow up* and get mature and responsible. Just an example: I do love plants and flowers and I even have some delicate kinds of, like some carnivores plants and a few orchids. I can't expect them to survive by themselves, I gotta be there to water them and cure them as they need or they die. It's just the same in every little moments of our lives, with our parents, with our children, with our partners etc. It's just a matter of thinking about it before getting involved in a similar situation. One should asks oneself if it's worth it, if the lack of freedom can be paid by the affection and satisfaction one can get from that situation... it depends only on how we wanna live our lives...... Oooooohhhh, I'm soooooo wise today, uh? :wink: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Reptile lover ? I gotta lot of reptiles here! (8, counting the turtles!)
Yeah, I have a snake. Well, it is just a little water snake, is not that big, about 70cms long, and about 3 cms in the widest part of the body.
I have to put some river fishes, (I do not know the term for them in english or italian, but here they are called "charales") in an opened fish tank. The snake gets in there and captures the fishes by herself.
She snaps quickly, and gets the fish out, In their struggle, she just makes sure that the fish is in the right position to swallow it.
It's cool to see, although I can't help being sorry for the fishes.
She eats about 6 each time, and it eats once a week
It was a legacy of a girl that used to live with me, she couldn't take it to her other home, (her mother is "ophidophobic", I guess that's how they call them) so it had to stay with me...

Cool! I've always been a fan of reptiles, though I do not like to see them inside those stupid glass boxes... they should be free, living in their natural habitat, you know... :roll: I do love any kind of reptiles, but most of all those with... *feet*! :shock: :D :D :D I mean lizards, iguanas and stuff like that... :D I usually have quite a lot of fun when I hang out with one of my best friends, since he's scared to death by reptiles and I use to kid him alot because of this. But he pays me back kidding me for my phobia of storms (I'm frightened by thunders & lightings) that he loves instead. :shock: :D :D :D
Hey, I still had really no time to join the google invitation you sent me, hope these next weeks will be less busy... I'll do it as soon as possible, ok? :D
