Althought Iron Savior came many times here, in Paris, I never had the opportunity to see them in concert (I wasn't living here in these times). Unfortunately they did no tour for Condition Red. I Hope they'll be back this year. I won't miss them !!!!!

My first concert was an IS-Concert. It was in Ludwigsburg (Germany) at the Rockfabrik www.rockfabrik.rocks.de. It was so cool! Some days after is wrote an E-Mail to Piet in wich i asked him, what songs they played, because i only have "Dark assault" and "Condition red". He wrote back and sent me the setlist:

    Protector
    Titans of our Time
    Coming Home
    Condition Red
    Warrior
    Mindfeeder
    Mind over Matter
    Eye to Eye
    Riding on Fire
Iron Savior/Watcher in the Sky (Meadly)
    --------
    I've been to Hell
    Predators
    Atlantis Falling
    --------
    Solar Wings
    --------
    Breaking the Law

    I wanna see their concert...
Any chance of IS coming to America? If so, that'd be awesome.

Those of you who never had the chance to see them, please don't hate me... :) I saw them three times... First time in Biella (Italy) on their very first tour (and that was the first time I met them), second time in Milano (Italy) at the Gods of Metal Festival in... uh... 1999, if I remember well. And the third time I caught them by chance at a festival in Switzerland in 2001. I was on vacation and got invited there by a guy I knew who at that time worked for the WASP management (they were going to play there too). I knew nothing about that festival but I went there the same to see the Wasp show and when I entered the venue I just stumbled in Piet! That was such a nice surprise!!!!
I do not remember the setlists of those shows, it was quite a long time ago... But I can tell you that an IS show is just fun! :D These guys love what they do and love this music and that's what you see and feel when they are on stage :) What I love the best of them is that any time I meet them is like meeting some old friends, it's like being part of a little metal family and that's sweet! :D
And now I stop boring you with my stories and go out for a drink with my friends... have a nice weekend! :D

I've never seen them live (lol and I don't hate you lol :P hehe) but I can tell that they enjoy what they do. That's one of my aims in life as well... to love what I do (and I know they're be powermetal involved). If I ever meet them, see them live... it's be amazing! :D And about the metal family... I agree :D It's as if we've known each other for so long!

Nice to see you don't hate me, bro!!!   And that's right: you gotta do what you REALLY love to do to be truly satisfied. I had to fight even against my family for my profession (you see, they wanted me to be a teacher like my sister, that's a rather good job here, and didn't like the idea of an artist in the family  ), but after all I'm so happy with my job that I know for sure I took the right decision. :D You can be the richest man on earth, but if you're not happy with what you do and don't put passion in it, you'll probably end up being the saddest and poorest man on earth  And if you put heart and passion in what you do, people will like it in the end, as for the IS music!

Wow, you said that very nicely! That's exactly what I think :) I want to live on making powermetal (and listening ofcourse). I feel that's what I'm good at and that's what I like to do. Of course there's no "market" here in Nepal, but that's my job - my challenge - to create it! So that's my goal as well! :D (and IS is doing a great job helping me by inspiring!) :D
My parents, though careful, support me in this (while encouraging to have this is as secondary, which I think is good advice to start with).

So Rox, totally agree with you there! :D

I´ve seen IS several times, I really don´t remember all events. (I´m an old, senile tart, lol), but I do remember one time at the WOA, because it was so funny. Somehow on that event there were a lot of technical problems, and Piet tried to tell the soundman what was wrong several times. Somehow he started to "act" like a diva, like: "I can´t work like that..." it´s hard to explain if you haven´t been there, it was mainly how he said it that made me rolling on the floor with laughter.

Oh, one other thing I remember is that they are a really, really great live band. :)

Haaaaaaaaaaaa! I thought about it and remembered what that problem was about: it was that Piet had the off-beat bassdrum on his monitor, and not the on-beat bassdrum, which must have been annoying.

You see: Even old, senile tards sometimes remeber stuff.... 8)
