Well, I see some planet (Earth?) in the center, two moons (or one in two positions) orbiting it and some device (the Savior Machine?) right in front of a viewer. Maybe there are some more details: the oval (eye?), wings, "pincers". Most probably it represents the Savior above the Earth.

So, we have the circle being Earth, the moon(s) around it representing orbits, the "pincers" around it representing defending the Earth? The wings, obviously, representing flight, and the eye being the "eye of the world", the Iron Savior.
If we've (sort of) worked out what it represents... who thought it up in the first place?

Yeah, it represents the Iron Savior above the earth, I've never think about it but yeah I'm agree with Danath and Efenstor. It's a very beautyful symbol.

the logodesign goes back to a tribal art tattoo I saw at a friends house in 1996. I gave this image to the artist/designer who than formed the logo from that. It is supposed to be the symbol of the IS defence-programm in ancient Atlantis... Never thought about it too much, but I would agree that it shows the Savior in the orbit of Earth...

Wow, 2 heavenly bodies in the same orbit and the Savior 'protecting' (by extending arm around) the earth in some way? I mean if it's supposed to be symbol of the IS defence-program, the Savior was programmed to defend, right? So wow, things just fall into place now :P
Strange, proximity and time, I wonder what would've been if you friend didn't have that tatoo? :D lol
