The singers/music topic got me thinking about this. Which bands have you seen in concert? Try to keep it to national/international bands so we all can recognize the names. I know most of us probably all have favorite local bands- I know I do. But this should be list of concerts from "well-known" artists.
Here's My List:
Bob Seger
Cyndi Lauper
Eddie Money
The Beach Boys
Roy Orbison
Warrant
Trixter
George Michael
Power Station
Duran Duran
Georgia Satellites
Lenryd Skynrd
Jimmy Page/ Robert Plant
Metallica
Ozzy Osbourne
Guns N Roses
Travis Tritt
Wynonna Judd
Brooks N Dunn
Hank Williams Jr.
Faith Hill
Toby Keith
Kenny Chesney
Neil Diamond
Suzy Bogas
Billy Dean
James Brown
Michael W. Smith |

That is a long list! I know I have seen a few, but for some reason I'm drawing a blank right now!
Stevie Nicks (from Fleetwood Mac)
Vanessa Carlton
Ja Rule
Nelly
I'll have to finish this off later... _________________ "Death is just another path, one that we all must take" |

I had tickets for Depeche Mode - one of their concerts was in Düsseldorf and a friend of mine gave me a ticket for my birthday ... at this time my ex promised to watch the kids, so I can go. But then he decided to have a birthday party that day and invited all of the people that could have watched my kids instead ... so I couldn´t go. Believe me I was crying ...
Then I had tickets for Xavier Naidoo - he is pretty big in Germany - and couldn´t go, because it was on a Tuesday and nobody had time to come with me ... I didn´t want to go alone, because our "separation-song" is from Xavier and I needed someone to hold my hand.
Finally I could have seen Simple Minds in Mainz - I guess I told you about it on this board. The show was for free and we were just too late ...
Other than that I´ve seen H-Blockx once on a festival together with some other known bands, but I forgot their names (maybe because it was the festival where I met my ex - lol)
I guess, that´s about it - I´m not very lucky with concerts as you can tell - lol _________________ Thanks for being a member of the NewNativeSpirit-family! |

Anne, that is really awful, I can't believe he did that!
Well, I really loved the Beach Boys when I was a little kid. Kokomo used to be my favourite song! And I would have loved to have seen Roy Orbison. I've only recently become familiar with his music and it's just so beautiful and haunting! _________________ "Death is just another path, one that we all must take" |

Jamboree is in July on the West Virginia/Ohio border. It's a whole weekend of country music by local and national artists. I haven't been for a while, and some day when little one is old enough to be left with Grandma for two days, I'll go again.
I'd love to go to the Opry someday. We used to watch it on tv when I was little at my Granny's house during the summer. My mom loathes Country Music so she hated it, but- it was a great family memory. |
