The loss of a beloved person

Ch. 1 Cold hearted?

The fight was over and the Hokage were glad, that Mori Kouran now never could harm anyone again, but they were also very sad because Raiha died in the battle. (Don’t ask me how Raiha coud be beaten by such weak kneed fellows. It fits into the story this way!) At his burial Yanagi was crying and Fuko tried hard not to cry. Kurei was one of the saddest just like Koganei. Everyone was sad except one like it seemed. After that the Hokage went back to their dojo, but Fuko was not just sad, she was angry too.
“Why?”
“What do ya mean Fuko?”, asked a very irritated Mikagami.
“Raiha died, but you… you’re cold like ever. Doesn’t his death concerns you even a bit?”
Mikagami didn’t answer. Recca didn’t want them to fight, so he interrupted.
“That’s enough you two, stop arguing.”
“Why are you sticking up for him? Raiha has died and he doesn’t care! I know he didn’t like him so much, but he has a heart out of stone!”
“I’m not sticking up for him, but it won’t bring him back, when you two fight!”
Without a word Mikagami left the dojo and headed back home. His exspression was cold like ever, but his heart was splintering out of pain.
When he was in his room the telephone rang, but he didn’t pick up.
So the time went on. And when five days passed and Recca still didn’t hear something of Mikagami, he started worrying.


Ch. 2 The heart out of stone is broken

In the afternoon Recca seeked out for Kagerou (KageHoushi).
“What’s the matter?”
“It’s ‘bout Mikagami. I haven’t heard something of him for five days. Don’t you think, he’s acting weird in the last time?”
“I think it has something to do with Raiha’s death.”
“But why? I mean Mikagami is not that heartless like Fuko thinks of him, but he wouldn’t act that depressed just because of someone he didn’t even like much.”
“Maybe there’s more about the two to know, than we can imagine.”
“I’m gonna find out what’s up with him. Next week we’ll start again with the training. That’s the right chance!”

When the week was over, the Hokage met to train in the dojo. Most of them were now normal again. So normal like they could be after Raiha’s death. Fuko trained with Domon, Koganai trained alone and Recca wanted to train with Mikagami. So they began. The Fight between the two seemed like ever, but Mikagami seemed liked he didn’t concentrate on the fight. So Recca broke up.
“Do you wanna drink something? Let’s go to the kitchen.”
“No. If you wanna drink something, then go and come back after that.”
“Ok. Than let’s go outside!”
“Recca! What do ya want?”
“I want to talk with you.”
“Why should I talk with you secretly? If you want to say something then say it!”
“C’mon just a few minutes!”
“If you insist so much…”
When they left the rest of the Hokage Recca took the spot.
“A few days ago I phoned you. You didn’t pick up.”
“Is that a crime?”
“No. But that’s not the only thing! You’re acting weird lately!”
“I’m acting like ever.”
“Think so? Fuko called you heartless. But… that’s not so true like it seemed! How does it come?”
“You’re bubbling shit! Stop asking me such stupid questions!”
“Oh, I’m bubbling shit? Why are things I’m saying stupid? ‘Cause they’re true!”
“None of theese is true!”
“Hm… You’re depressed!”
“What??? You lost ya mind! I’ve not the time to waste it on you!”
With theese words Mikagami left. And Recca still tried to figure ot what was up with him.
“Very strange!”
“Wha…? Mum? Since when are you here?”
“A long time! But… I’ve got a good idea!”
“What idea?”
“You’re all gonna make a vacation.”
“Vacation?”
“Yes! That’s a good chance to get closer to him!” (Kagerou as a Yaoi – freak? O_o")
“Uh… yeah, O_o’ I’m gonna inform the others and phone Mikagami!”

After two hours the trainig came to it’s end and the Hokage members headed to their home. When Recca arrived at home he phoned Mikagami!
“Hello?”

“Who do you think you are?”
“Recca Hanabishi, the most skillfull ninja on this planet! And now listen! And don’t dare you restore again! We’re going on a vacation!”

“Yes, we!!! You’re gonna join us!”
“What makes you thing I would join?”
“’Cause if you don’t, I’ll visit you and chew on your nerves!”

Tears escaped his eyes, but after an hour he was so tyred, that he got to sleep.


Ch. 3 The vacation (or Kagerou’s naughty thougts… just kidding ^.^y)

After a seeming long night the Hokage met at the dojo.
“Recca!”
“Hm?”
“We even don’t know, what the vacation is about!”, that was a very pissed of Fuko.
“You’re staying for three days in a little house in a forest in Hokaido! (I dunno if there is a forest in Hokaido.) It’s a better place to train.”, was Kagerou’s answer.
“Oh great… U_U" ”, and this came from a very enthusiastic Domon. But then Domon changed suddenly his expression.
/Wait! On this vacation I can be with Fuko all the time. Maybe we even have the same room… O u,O /
But Fuko saw his expression.
“Don’t dare you think we’d have the same room, Domon! I have my own, ‘cause I’m the only girl! So stop making such a perverted face!”
The destructor of Domon’s hope.

Not far away Mikagami had other thoughts.

Then Kagerou spoke again.

So the vacation begann…
When they arrived, they first went into their rooms and stowed away their stuff. After that they went to sleep.
Recca tried to convergate with Mikagami a little.
“Mikagami?”
“Hmm?”
“Now that we’re alone you can tell me what’s up with you.”
“Nothing’s up with me!”
“So you keep saying, but that doesn’t mean, that I have to believe you!”
“Shut up and let me sleep!”
“You’re not gonna sleep!”
“What?”
“You’re gonna try to sleep, but you’ll fail and start staring the hole time onto the stupid and never – changing cyling!”
“Did ya smoke something today?”
“You can’t lie to me! I know something’s bothering you the hole time and I don’t mean myself with that!”
“You don’t know anything! You don’t know my feelings and you’ll never know!”

He never knew me and never will… he always thought that I’m a dumbassed and arrogant idiot, who tried to take Yanagi from him, but… I don’t love Yanagi… and I won’t love someone ever again!/
“Mikagami?”
“What do you want again?”
“Has your mood something to do with Raiha’s death?”

When Recca Mikagami’s expression saw he knew, he was right.
“I’m right, ain’t I?”
“Just shut up!”
/How did that stupid idiot know? I hope he can’t imagine more. I don’t want him to know the rest!/
/Why is he such emotional? Maybe Raiha was the first one who was a real friend to him. I think they were very good friends! Sure Kagerou meant that. I’m not gonna ask further today. That was close enough for one night!/
So both of them fell asleep. Hours passed. But Mikagami was’t sleeping so well like Recca.

The Hokage and Uruha of Kurei were already in the mansion of Mori Kouran. They were attacked by a seeming endless number of bodyguards, so they all were bussy at fighting. Then finally Kurei killed Mori with his strongest flame, the flame of Kurenai. But then… it happened! One of the guards, who were left just slashed his knive into Raiha. So Raiha fell to the ground and stared into space. When everybody got to Raiha, he gave a slight smile. The smile was the last one for ever and it was just for Mikagami, who still couldn’t believe, what happened. And from one moment to another Raiha was not there anymore.

A scream. Not that loud, that everyone in the house could hear it, but that loud, that the one, who was in the same room with Mikagami could hear it.
The scream was Mikagami’s . With that scream he awoke all sweating. Recca was awoken too and so he hurried to his room mate. It was three o’clock in the night.
“Mikagami, you okay?”
“…”
“C’mon speak to me!”
“It’s nothing! Just a nightmare. Get back sleeping.”
“No. Not untill you tell me, what happened!”
“It was just a nightmare like I said! Go to bed!”
“What did ya see?”
“It’s none of your buisness!”
“If you think that way…”
With that Recca went to bed again.
/Why doesn’t he tell me? I’m just trying to help him. Does he hate me that much?/
/Why does he care. We don’t even like us, so why does he care? If I open up to him, he’ll leave me, too./
After a while Recca fell asleep again.

Ch. 4 Feelings

On the next morning the Hokage met at lunchtime.
Recca and Koganai were chating and Domon was staring the hole time at Fuko, who was listening to Recca and Koganai. Mikagami was just eating silent and thinking about a few things. But he didn’t look well because after the nightmare he hadn’t got any sleep and he had a big hadarche.
/This goddamn hadarche hurts like hell. And I must stay the hole time with someone together, so I can’t get any rest./
Now Fuko began a conversation with Domon.
“What do ya think about Raiha’s death?”
“What should I think?”
“The time before when we made things together, I recognized, that he was in love with someone.”
“With you?”
“No, but at his burial were just Kurei, Neon, Mikoto, Aki and we. I’m sad, that the one Raiha loved didn’t grieved over him.”
When Recca looked over to Mikagami, he saw that his expression faded after theese words, but he didn’t think so much about this. Mikagami’s hadarche became worse.
After the lunch they went outside to train. Fuko trained with Domon and Koganai. So Mikagami had to train with Recca, but he didn’t feel like training. He nearly collapsed onto the ground.
“Mikagami, let me help you.”
“I don’t need your help!”
“You didn’t get any sleep after the nightmare, did you?”
“You don’t need to care ‘bout that!”
“Why are you that stubborn? Let me bring you to your room, I’m gonna stay there till you’re in a better condition.”
“I said, I don’t need your help!”
Mikagami tried to get on his feet, but failed. He lost his consciousness and would have fallen to the ground, if Recca hadn’t catched him.
Three hours passed and Mikagami didn’t wake up. He lay on his bed and Recca sat on his own bed and watched him, during he thought.
/He’s acting so weird. It’s not just weird… it’s like he wouldn’t feel like living anymore. It’s not normal that someone behaves like that just because he lost his friend./
During Recca thought he didn’t notice how bad Mikagami was feeling, he had a nightmare again.

Mori Kouran was just beaten, but there was no time to be happy because one of the left guards just slashed his knive into Raiha. So he fell to the ground. Mikagami just stared in shock.

A scream, … again!
The same scream, the same dream, the same feeling of mental agony. Pain… pain, which makes you want to give up… pain, which makes you want to leave… to leave everything and everyone… which makes you want to die and be released of all fears and pain.
Theese were the feelings he had at this moment.
He bolted up in his bed and was all sweating… again.
/Again… it happened again. The same dream, … the same dream I’m dreaming all over again… every night! I can’t sleep without the bad feeling when I wake up. He saw it… he knows it… or doesn’t he? He sees me bolting up in pain… he sees me all sweating… he sees me at the edge of sanity, almost crying… but just ‘almost’./
He was thinking and didn’t recognize how Recca was trying to get to him… to get to him trough his thick wall of pain, fear and distrust. And when he looked into Mikagamis eyes full of pain he felt his heart crumble. Recca didn’t know why, but he didn’t want to see him like this.
“Mikagami speak to me!!!”
“…”
“Please!”
But than Mikagami snaped out of his thoughts.
“…what?”
“What’s up with you? Plese tell me.”
But Mikagami couldn’t answer because he could feel the warmth of his room mate. He could feel his warmth on his body. Recca’s hand held Mikagamis face. Mikagami was feeling Recca’s hot breath on his face. His voice was soft and concern. Mikagami looked into Recca’s warm brown eyes. His heart was beating hard just like Recca’s.
/So beautifull! Theese blue eyes… What am I doing here???/
When Recca realized what he did he shrinked back.
“Sorry… I… I didn’t want this to happen…”
So he left, though the rule of Kagerou.
When he arrived at the place behind the house, he sat down to think.
/Why did I do this? What’s going on with me? Theese feelings…/
Mikagami was in his thoughts, too. He still sat on his bad and had hardly moved.
/That has nothing to mean. Maybe he was concern… but why should he care? He wants me to open up to him, but I’m not gonna do that. I don’t need him, I’m not gonna trust someone again. The only one I’m trusting is me. I’m strong… I was so long alone and because of that fact I learned to be strong a long time ago. So nobody can hurt me again!/
The Hokage met again at dinner, but this time Recca was silent the hole time. Fuko, Domon and Koganei wondered why. So the time passed and at night everyone got to sleep.
Everyone exept Mikagami. He was thinking of old times.

Mikagami awoke in a little room with white walls. Then suddenly the door was opened and someone steped in. It was…
“Raiha???”
“You’re awake… good.”
Raiha sat besides Mikagami and was close to him, not that close, but Mikagami felt nevous because of that.
“Why am I here?”
“You passed out and I found you on the street. If Neon or another one of the Uruha had found you, you would have been already dead.”
“And why didn’t you kill me already!”
“First of all I’m just taking orders of Kurei and it’s not Kurei’s interest to kill the Hokage, he just wants Recca dead, it’s Mori Kouran’s.”
“And why did you save me? Why would you care of my life. You could have let me lie there.”
“Yes, I could have done that, but I have my own reason.”
“Which reason? Just ‘cause I’m in the same group like Fuko? You even save her team mates ‘cause you love her?”
“I don’t love Fuko. We’re just friends, I love someone else.”
“Then which reason do you talk of?”
“That’s a secret. You should get sleeping.”
Raiha left Mikagami for a while. So Mikagami was alone with his thoughts.
/I can’t stand this guy! Not because he has a bad character. It’s because I’m feeling weird when I’m in his presence. Why am I thinking of him so much in the last time? Is it… no it can’t be! That’s not possible!/
Raiha came back after a while. But Mikagami was alredy sleeping again.
He was having a nightmare. It was the death of Mifuyu. He couldn’t remember a night since this event without seeing her die in his dreams.
He roused from his dream. Raiha hurried to his side.
“All okay?”
“Yes, just a nightmare.”
“What did you dream?”
“It’s none of your buisness.”

“What do you think you’re doing?”
Mikagami wanted to pull away, but Raiha was holding him. His face was just inches away from Mikagami’s.
“Raiha, what the hell are you doing?”

“You have not to care!”
“Mikagami… you shouldn’t look back. She died… it was not your fault. It wouldn’t be her will, that you live without any happyness. She would want you to live a normal life.”
“Why do you care?”

“What? You’re just kidding, aren’t you?”
“No! I want you to be happy, Mikagami ‘cause I love you… since a long time! And you love me, too!”
“How did ya get that idea?”
“Aren’t you getting nervous when I’m around? You’re all tensed up… relax!”

“That’s not your problem!”
“Of course it is!”
“Why?”
“You’re really asking me why? I’m your friend!”

“And what’s with me? What’s with Fuko, Domon and Koganei… and Raiha?”
“Cut that out!”
“What? Raiha? I can cut him out of my speeches and after a while from my life, too. But what’s with you? Can you forget him?”
“Shut the hell up! You don’t know how I feel! You don’t know a damn thing about me and you never will!!!”
“You can’t stand us? Then why are you still part of the Hokage? You got your vegeance!”
“You want me to leave? Good!”
“I didn’t say it that way!”
“But you thought it! You anyway think, that I’m an ice-block! Why are you still bothering me? Is it out of pity? Or do you think you owe me something ‘cause I fought with you?”
Mikagami went to his cupboard and began to pack his bag. He hadn’t took much with him anyway.
“What are you doing?”
“Are you blind?”

“I’m leaving!”

“It’s three o’clock in the night! It’s too dangerous!”
“So you think one of theese stupid fools on the streets could beat me? Thanks, that you said so clearly how weak I am.”
“I didn’t say, that you’re weak. Stop being stubborn! We’re in a forrest in Hokaido. How do you think, you’ll get back to Tokio?”
“I’m gonna phone Kagerou. She can teleport me back.”
“Why won’t you wait till we get back with the ship?”
“Now, that I know how you think of me, I don’t wanna bother you!”
“Why are you acting so aggressive? You didn’t like me much since we met the first time, but in the last time you’re really aggressive!”
“Please wait till tomorrow. I promise I won’t bother you and Recca won’t bother you, too.”
Recca and Mikagami were surprised, when they heard the voice of Koganei, who stood in the door frame.
“God… Ok, I’m gonna stay till tomorrow, if it makes you that happy…”
With that all went to bed. On this night Mikagami got finally some sleep.


Ch. 5 “Look! Isn’t that Mikagami, who’s drowning at the moment?” (O_o;; No comment!!!)

Next day after lunch the Hokage left. When the ship arrived everyone headed back home.
They were still in their holidays, so they wanted to meet again on the next day to train, but Mikagami didn’t appear at the dojo. Domon, Fuko and Koganai didn’t thought of that much, but Recca started worrying again.
/Why am I worrying so much about him? He clearly showed me, that he can’t stand me! Why do I feel so sick every time he insults me? And why does he behave so strange just because of Raiha’s death? … Is it possible? … He… he had loved him? … I just thought, they were very good friends… but that’s it! They loved each other and when Raiha died Mikagami felt real pain! He is in a really bad situation. And now he’s at home… alone and still feeling all the pain over his loss of Raiha. … Wait a sec … when he’s alone… I hope he won’t do something stupid!/
With theese thoughts he started running to Mikagami’s house. When he arrived he rang the door-bell, but nobody opened.
Meanwhile that Mikagami entered the bathroom. When the bathtub was full with water, Mikagami placed himself in it and begann to think of Raiha again.
/Now that he’s dead and now that I got my vegeance, there’s no reason to live for me anymore. Maybe I should join my sister and Raiha./
He glided more and more into the water till he was with the head under it. He didn’t need so much overcoming to hold his head down becaused he was that exhausted from the last days. He wanted nothing but to end his life. He felt how he lost more and more his consciousness.
Finally Recca smashed the door and headed towards Mikagami’s room, but he wasn’t in it, so he searched in the hole house. After a minute he found him. He carried him out of the bathtub and immediately gave him mouth to mouth. After he got the water out of Mikagami’s lungs he dried him with a towel and carried him to his bed. Then he covered him up and sat on a chair next to his bed.
After two hours Mikagami woke up.
“I’ve never seen such a stupid person like you! Now I’m gonna make you a warm soup. Don’t dare do something like that ever again!!!”
After a while he returned with a warm soup and some bread.
“You should eat something.”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Don’t be stubborn. I was worried!”
“Why?”
“You’re asking me why?”
“I thought you hated me. Don’t you think, that I want to take Yanagi away from you?”
“No because you loved someone else!”
“Where did you get that?” Mikagami was now getting very nervous.
“You don’t need to hide it! I know, that you loved Raiha! Otherwise you wouldn’t feel so much pain.”
“Y-You know it?”
“Yes! Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Why would you care?” Mikagami tried to hold back the tears.
“Why wouldn’t I care?”
“’Cause… you have everyone you love besides you! Your family, your friends and Yanagi! But I… I have nobody, who cares for me… I’m alone… everyone I loved left me alone! My parents… my sister and… Raiha!”
Mikagami couldn’t hold the tears back anymore! The tears rolled down his face. He just wanted Recca to leave, but Recca had no attentions to leave.
“That’s not true, Mikagami! You have Domon, Fuko, Koganei and Yanagi as your friends. And you have me!”
Mikagami looked surprised into Recca’s eyes. Recca came nearer and nearer and finally took Mikagami into a tight embrace. And since a long time Mikagami felt safe again. He cuddeled in Recca’s arms.


Ch. 6 Finally a night without nightmares since a long time…

Soon they fell asleep. It was the first night for Mikagami since Raiha’s death without a nightmare.
Recca was the first one who woke up. He gently caressed Mikagami’s bare chest.

Neither Recca nor Mikagami knew what to say, so they just ate. After a while Recca tried to start a conversation.

“I have a question!” Mikagami was now looking intendly at Recca.
“What is it?”
“Do you still love Yanagi?”
“What? … Why are you asking me such a question?”
“Do you?”
“…I don’t…”
“Does she know?”
“Yes.”
Mikagami was surprised.
“We are just loyal friends.”
“Oh… and who do you love now?”
“Why do you ask?”
“I was just interested.”
“Do you think you’re able to train?”
“Yes, I think so!”
“Shall we beginn?”

After they cleared the table they began to train. It seemed like a normal training, but none was with his thoughts right there.

In that moment Mikagsmi’s vision got blurred, but before he fell to the ground Recca catched him. He brought him to his room and placed him in his bed. After a while Mikagami woke up.


Ch. 7 Happy – End?

“Why didn’t you tell me, that you still weren’t ready to train?”
“I thought, it wouln’t be that bad.”
“It’s late, we should go to bed!”
But both of them couldn’t sleep.
“Recca?”
“Do you still want to keep secret, who you love?”
“…does it interests you so much?”
“Then another question… If your beloved one died, would you ever love someone again?”
“Maybe…”
“Wouldn’t you feel bad about it?”
“Yes I would! When I loved someone so much, that I even had a deathwish after his or her death, I would feel really bad, but… there would be no reason for me to refuse love forever ‘cause I’d still keep the once beloved in my heart forever, allthough I fell for someone else. So there’s no reason for you to not love again.”
“So I wouldn’t betray Raiha, if I fell for someone again?”
“Of course not. He loves you and he always wanted you to be happy.”
“…” /Then maybe… I’m able to open my heart again to someone…/
“Who do you love?”
“If I told you, you would maybe mind…”
/I would mind? Why should I? I already told him, that I don’t have such feelings for Yanagi, so why should I mind? … But maybe he has fallen for… me!/
“Do I know this person?”
“Yes, very well!”
“Why do you love him?”
“…After Raiha’s death, I thought, I would never be able to love or even trust someone again. …, but then I looked into his eyes. … I saw nothing but honesty and concern. … That was the first time, I saw him like this… and this expression burned itself into my soul.”

Without saying a single word Recca moved to Mikagami’s bed and began caressing his cheek.
“I’m the one you love, ain’t I?”
“And? What do you think?”
“At the moment I don’t think, I just act.”
He softly pressed his lips on Mikagami’s. After a seemingly never ending kiss, they parted. Both of them panted hard. Recca began to undress Mikagami and himself aswell. When they both were naked, Recca kissed a trail from his lovers nippels down to his navel. Mikagami was moaning and moaning. Recca moved with his thongue again to the swordsman’s nipples and sucked hard.
