Lost Souls

Has anyone read Poppy Z Brite's Lost Souls? It's a really good vampire book. She has a very interesting take on how vampires are rather than just take the usual, they can be staked crap. Her vampires are unique and very well written about. She manages to create such strong bonds between her characters that you really get involved with them. I recommend this to all vampire fans.

I thought vampires have been written about for centuries, and 'documentated'. So, how can she put her own spin on vampires?

All I mean is that these vampires are different to ones I have read about before. These, for one, can walk in daylight and are born vampires in some cases

Ah, well, from what I know about vampires, which isnt very much, but my friend does. And apparently vampires don't die from sunlight, it just irritates their skin, which is why they don't go out during the day.
