Okay I haven't done much reading up lately but isn't the masons are , well how do I say this.. there is an outside visible organization club that keeps the appereance on the up and up like outstanding citizens of the cloth but are concealing the secret society of men.. and okay this may be a foolish statement but isn't their belief that the secret men do magic or something along those lines.. all very hush hush and we'll never know ...
maybe I should read up before I comment aye?? _________________ "There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life."

Are those the old dudes who get drunk and act oddly and have those maroon hats with the tassels on them?
Or am I thinking of Shriners? _________________ Wheresoever you go, go with all your heart.

Actually I think Shriners (men) and Lady's of the Eastern Star (women) are the modern day versions of Masons.
How about the theory that Washington DC was built on a power design developed by Freemasons?
And that there are a lot of former presidents who were members? _________________ there is no cure |

I had a look at the Mason web site, in fact I passed the Grand Lodge at lunch time (oddly enough it's a stones throw from government buildings).
http://www.irish-freemasons.org
It's a bit of a crappy looking website, but there is a lot of information on it. I never knew that it was possible to get tours of the lodge. There are pictures of some of the rooms.

"What is Freemasonry?
It is the world's oldest and largest fraternity dating back at least to the Middle Ages. Its purpose is to promote the bonds of friendship, compassion and brotherly love. Politics has no role in it. Neither is it a religion as some would have you believe but rather a friend and promoter of all religions which are based on the belief in one God. Regardless of their position in society, Freemasons meet as equals. One of the most fascinating aspects of Freemasonry has always been how so many men from so many different walks of life can meet together in peace, never discuss politics or engage in religious debates, conduct their affairs in harmony and friendship, and call each other "Brother"." _________________ Welcome to spam central - population me |
