Do you give any thought to the fact that you might get lung cancer in the future?
Or is it one of those 'It won't happen to me' things? Even though you know the facts. |

I really don't think about it. I knew it was a possibility even before I started. Dwelling on it is a waste of time. _________________ there is no cure |

Ha ha the golden question its not that smokers get egotistical and say "It can't happen to me" we all know it could happen but honestly think of it this way..
Every time you drive your car and speed do you think "I could one day smash into a pole and die looking so mangled they will have to look at my dental records to identify my body and have a closed casket to keep my mother from spending the rest of her life in an institute"
Nah, you just speed, with smoking you just smoke anything could happen, hell you could have the ceiling collapse on your head at this very moment and die with your brains oozing out of your head while you scream tragically.. I mean honestly it could happen.
But for me its one of the reasons I quite, my mother smoked for 20 years and she just got a sist in her throat and they thought it was in fact lung cancer, it wasn't and it was removed but I cried alot and it made me reevaluate my situation. Plus Im always broke, my apartment always stinks and I was begining to hate the taste of cigarrettes (Because I had been chain smoking for the past month) So after 7 years Im throwing in the towel (so that when I go running in the late mornings I do feel like im going to die after the first mile) _________________ "There is more stupidity than hydrogen in the universe, and it has a longer shelf life."

I am aware that smoking will cause lung cancer
But at the end of the day I believe in doing things I enjoy consequences be damned. SO I smoke. It is one of my favorite pastimes. _________________ come let's walk with vintare graphics |

My husband gave up about a year ago, he's kinda back on them now. His mother died of lung cancer 30 years after giving up, that was a shocker. _________________ Welcome to spam central - population me |
