As we experience major difficulties in keeping dkp sorted with the old system (1 Player, 1 Dkp account), we will introduce a new way of handling dkp as of Sunday, 26. of November 2006.

NEW RULE:
1 Character - 1 dkp Account. Clear enough I hope: dkp will be logged on the account of the attending character. If you switch character during raid for whatever reason, the first character will get the dkp.

EXCEPTION:
If you log to an other character for the benefit of the raid (i.e. raidleader asks for specific classes) you can tell the raid leader you want the dkp on the not-attending character.

DKP-Transfer:
If you do not want any dkp on one character, you can transfer ALL (and only ALL) of the dkp IF HIGHER than 50 from one char to another. You can request this process via this atl section here.


Thanks for cooperating up to now and using this section, hope you understand it just isnt administrable anymore. The old system wasn't really thought through, at least not further than maybe 10 alts (which would be easy to memorize). So before this runs out of hand, we'll stop it.

let me add some examples to explain how the system will work:

Example1

I join a ZG raid as Helgrim (my priest).
Helgrim has been on one Gurubians raid, so he has 10 DKP.

Jin'do's Judgement drops from Hexxer.
Since Helgrim is still using Lorespinner naturally I want it.

Helgrim rolls 1-110 (/roll 1-110)

Helgrim cannot roll 1-260 (Arukan has 250DKP)

10 DKP will be awarded to Helgrim for this run.

Example2:
Arukan joins a ZG raid.

just before the Snake boss I ask Grohar, the raidleader, if I would be allowed to switch to Helgrim to have a shot at that neato dagger.

I switch to Helgrim and remain so for the rest of the raid.

10 DKP will be awarded to Arukan for this run.

Example3:

Arukan wants to join an AQ20 raid.

Grohar the raidleader whispers me and asks me to rather join with Helgrim because the raid is low on healers.

I agree, but decide I much rather have the DKP awarded to Arukan.
I tell the raidleader immediately and then relogg to Helgrim to join.

10 DKP will be awarded to Arukan for this run.

Example4:

It's 1530 and invites are up. I assume that there will be too little dps in the upcoming raid from stuff I overheard in Guildchat. So I decide to log out Helgrim and join the raid as Arukan.
After the raid I whisper Grohar I'd much rather have the DKP awarded to Helgrim since I only logged Arukan to benefit the raid.

This will earn me a guildrank demotion a kick in the groin and the responsibility to pay Grohar at least 2 beers.

also:
10 DKP will be awarded to Arukan for this run.

Example5:

I decide that I have everything I need from ZG and AQ20 and am never gonna go back to those ugly place especially since I don't like being backstabbed by big ugly Panther Ladys.

So I make a post on the Gurbians Forum's Alt-Section.

all DKP from Arukan will be transferred to Helgrim.
Arukan now has 0 DKP
Helgrim now has 260DKP (10+250)
