....Yes I was there...
A friend of mine memorize me to visit this big demonstration: "Hey, you...you have some
politician ambitions? ..Perhaps you want to go there too? We need more people there. Everyone in this world actually..."
I made a research via Internet and find this event, and decide to join. But I had to travel on my own. I steal the camera of my mom, got a tent and a "Schlafsack" under the arms and walked straight to the Station in Frankfurt.
It was a real adventure to get there... In the train i met a guy, in a tuxedo, who started to talk with me, so I remained one day in an reeeeal glamorous hotel in Hamburg, we chilled together after he had his important conference; me - go for shopping meanwhile; afterwards we meet again in front of the hotel and chilled the rest of the day; smoking, drinking wine, and watching actual news from Rostock, Heiligendamm.
Next morning I was not that sure anymore if I should really go there, because the first big demonstrations were smashed down brutally by police and security, and the stones just started to fly back...

But I had promised, I thought.
So I said good buy to the traveler in the Tuxedo, got my stuff from a safe on the train station, and bought a ticket to get there. Again sitting, on the floor with my new pants....

...again sitting on the floor, in my new shopped pants, playing around with the cam, trying to find out, how this thing is working - another nice guy joined me, had a cam, too.
"Aren't you a little overdressed for this event?" - he smiled - "Or are you an official reporter?"
I looked on him in disbelief and started laughing. Lachen
"No, no...I'm private here. No reporter anyway..XD"
...we laughed and talked together. He didn't know where exactly to go, so I gave him the right information, and we went together to this very very extraordinary event.
I have chosen "Reddlich" for my tent, it was a little more away from the Center of Happening. First day there, we needed some information, and the first thing we both were told by the Camp Leaders: NO FILMING inside THIS CAMP. -.-
Hm...ok..

"No Filming?....God damn...Even not for private uses?" - i thought.
'My mom will kill me, because I take her Cam without asking - and now it's just fully useless?'
The second day I looked at him and asked: "So what should we do now? It's actually to dangerous go right to the "Front" - I'm pro to get as one of the first injured..And here, i can't interview anyone, because it's just forbidden.. Geschockt .."
We looked at each other and decided to find and film this shitty fence, which had cost Germany 17.000.000 Euros.
"It must be very impressive, if there's so much money gone for buy and install this thing."
He: "Ok. That's a plan. But we need a navigation system."
Me: "Not at all. I got a map, when entering yesterday. There are tree zones on it. We're somewhere on the Boarder to the Yellow One. So if I you let me navigate, we'll should be there in few hours walking. Are you with me?"
He grins: "Of course! Let's take some provisions and let's go!"

It was a loooong walk, even we started the trip in the earliest morning, there were a lot of obstacles in our way. Not only the way itself, the closer we came to Red Zone behind the fence, the more Police Patrols we had seen on our way.
I was clever enough to stop for a meal and discuss with him the further way on the map.
"You know, we'll never reach this fence if there's so much trouble with other guys - i don't wanna go in prison for doing nothing, you know? The police is nervous.."
He: "And now? Should we give it up?..."
....
Me:"Hm...Not that fast.. Let me study this map once again. Perhaps there are ways within aren't marked on map, but in reality they are there. Chill out...'If she really made up her mind, she will reach her aim' - that's what people are sayin bout me."
....
He:" Ok. One hour sit in, than go further. Your navigation was quite genius until now, so I think you'll find a solution. I need some sleep."
Me: "HAHAHA...yes ...this damn military helicopters every 3 minutes over the Camp..me too.."

..First two kilometers we walked straight the rand of an golden field. Now I started navigating with compass, not with marked streets on the card. This next obstacle was the death to my Cam, my handy and all electronics i wore with me...
The landscapes of the northern Germany is full of little "rivers", quadratical formation around the fields, perhaps simply for agriculture. They are sometimes more than 2 meters wide and just 1.50 m deep...but that wasn't my problem... This dark and stinky water.. Geschockt
I stand there: "F+++! This wasn't on my map..."
He: "Let's just walk trough. These rivers aren't deep."
I looked at him. "And what about the electronics?...If they get wet, it's over.."
He took of some clothes, made a soft pack around his cam and just threw it on the other side. "And now yours.." Me: "Yeeeeeah....ok...but I throw it myself. The Cam must stay "alive". Or I'm dead when I'm back home..."
He smiled: "If you want.."
What a great idea to wear a swimsuit underneath my clothes!, I thought. I made my pack, took a long breath, and than ...threw. It landed perfectly on the edge of the other side. But then the pack started moving itself...The long weed was too soft. It slipped down and SPLASH! ... Ausrufezeichen

Another SPLASH!...
Me, crawlin', swimming as fast as I can, getting to other side, pulling my pack out, before I will sink and my stuff will be lost forever in this dark, stinky water....-.-
Got out this water, checked the electronic...Nothing.
Me: "ROOOOAR...I can almost see my gravestone!..."
While he came over, i checked also my mobile...dead too...and my tobacco...veeeery wet experience...
Totally depressed, I sat there. Not even a cigarette.
Me: "Would you borrow me a cigarette please...?"
Weinen
He: "No problem."
Me: "Thanks."
He: "Don't be that upset. Shit happens, you know?"
Me: "Haha...I know. All my wonderful dokumentation-takes are gone... That was history!
Shit happens - is not enough!"
He: "...."

Than we took another break. I decided, I need some sleep, before going forward for this damn fence.

An hour later we arrived, near at the Red Zone, a field ...full of cows! ...
Me:"Ehm.. Ok. Let's walk through, but quickly. You can never know, if there isn't any bull around."
He:"Really?...Hm..."
The cows watched us, as we stepped on the field and started moving on, laterally, not to disturb them. They just looked at us, some kind curious, some kind bored. They weren't really dangerous, and if there was a bull somewhere - he didn't notice us.
No human beings anywhere, since we left the road..
500 Meters later we disappeared in the nettles..

Yes, the nettles....-.-
Shorts and T-shirt are not the right clothes to pass such obstacles, which were as high as my shoulders. My legs, tired of walking, began to burn...But I thought, nope, it's too late to give up this trip. If the map itself is correct, we're are too close to turn back...

Getting out on an empty field with soft weed, I checked the further way.
Beside this was one of this rivers. Bigger and deeper perhaps than the other stinky puddle.
Me: "Ok. We are very close now.. See this? It must be a swamp. And laterally, there is a river mentioned. The fence is right on the other side."
He: "Yes ok...so let's go till the swamp starts and then film. Looks like the smallest distance." I agreed, but...
Me, looking around: "This is strange...Here is no police, and I can't even see the fence itself... It should be giant...17.000.000 Euros, you remember? I'm not that sure anymore that this little map is really correct.."
He: "Let's go and just see."
Me: "Ok."

The map was correct...Yes, we found the swamp, where it had should be, crossed another little "Puddle" and entered the home of ...mosquitoes..-.- As long as we hiked through the swamp, I was walking behind him, I looked at his legs.. Geschockt
I think, I counted more than 40 mosquitoes on every of his calves..
It was totally senseless to chase them away... Hundreds of them surrounds us!
Now I was grateful for nettles - my legs were still burning, so I wouldn't get crazy of itching. Nice! Some luck...finally.

We arrived the most nearest place in the woods, and settle down for a while. A police car, arrived too, while we walked through the swamp. But it was on the other side of the little river, which now was 6 or 7 meters wide.
Me: "Don't think, the two officers are going to swim for just catching us... Won't they?...."
He:(...) "No. I don't think so."
Me: (...) "So, this is it? The fence?"
He: "Must be..."
A little helicopter came flying all above us. Round and Round.
Strange, I thought, my mobile is dead. My cam, too. And his? I swear till today, it was off. There wasn't any people around since some hours and kilometers...How did they spot us? My way was perfect chosen.
And the police-officers are just chilling, laughing, talking...but right on the other side, so if we would be so stupid to cross - we're caught..
There's something strange about this....
Me: "Common...Let's make a quick take of this thing, ORDINARY fence, every F****** Stadium has one!, and let's go back...There's something real strange about this physical thing... This is not the thing that have been cost 17.000.000 Million Euros..."
He: "Why do you think that way?"
....
Me: "Because there's a Helicopter above us, and I'm quite sure - we are the target."
