Hi guys,
Today I've seen an interesting part that shows some numbers: 104-42010 2405, 104-42010 3408, and two stampings (Ovalstempel) with 32 and 21 in it. For mit that welded part looks somehow like an exhaust duct. I would like to identify the part and the plane from where it is coming. Can anyone hlep me?
Onother part from the same crash shows "609818" and "BOHNALITE". Unfortunalty I have no picture of that one.

it´s a long time ago to see you here ;)
Your part what you have found is a exhause duct from P-51.
I have here the part list of P-51 D and K. Here I found the part number
104-4209.
"Bohnalite" was a manufacture for aluminium parts (piston ect.).
I think "Bohn Aluminum" was the name of the manufactur :scratch:

A nice exhaust stack indeed ! Found a similar one from a 38FS/55FG Mustang in Luxembourg years ago !

Guys, thanks for that help. So we can assume we have a P-51 in D or K version? Nils, what kind of part is the 104-4209 part? Another exhaust maybe from another area of the engine?
Yes, I've found some other parts too but did not get the chance to clean them an make pictures of it. Be patient, I will ask you for some more help pretty soon. ;-)

Nils, thanks for that drawing. Now I think I am looking at a P-51B crashsite. Attached now some new pictures, among them the "Bohnalite" part:
please note the painted letters on the inside of this part. Any ideas what they mean?
A valve from the engine. The diameter measures exact 5 cm.
a sheet metal alu part with some olive color. think it comes from the engine cowl in front of the cockpit.

I think, if you open carefully the sheet of the last photo, you can find a part number.

The stack from Albert Koenig's Mustang (38FS/55FG) we found in Luxembourg. One can still see 007 (from 104-42007?) on it.
