2 pics this time....my friend found it near a spot where 2 Lancs crashed but isn't sure it's from one of them..

Hi Paul.
Possible for that part ,are the two holes covered by plastic from the inside and are they two differant colors?
Maybe signelling lights that were fitted aft under tail turret as B24 had them fitted to indecate to following aircraft.

Another picture a found number !...The diameter of the hole is 2,5 cm and the distance (ax to ax) between them is 6,5 cm.
