The favorite band Uniklubi had to cancel their festival performances last weekend, as their vocalist Jussi lost his voice. They managed to do the gig on Friday at Nokia Beer Festival but they couldn't perform neither at Koria-Roll on Saturday nor at Räikkärock on Sunday. Also the other gigs in the near future are under the threat of cancellation.
- Now I feel depressed and pissed-off. My voice hasn't ever been this torn. I'll go to see a specialist on Monday and after that we will know how many gigs we must cancel. Hopefully we can do at least some of the summer gigs, Jussi tells IS' reporter on a hoarse voice that hardly exists at all.
He lost his voice on Friday all of a sudden already before the show.
- I forced myself to sing although my voice let me down several times during the gig.
Jussi has in his vocal cords a lump, which has been bothering him for a while. Already several months ago he was suggested that the lump should be operated.
- My voice has been a problem all the time. According to the doctor, voice therapy is hardly of help. I've been to voice therapy but now the section may be in front of me. The essential reason for this problem is the strain my voice has been through. We've been playing so many gigs that the voice hasn't have time to recover.
Uniklubi's next gigs would be on Thursday in Seinäjoki, on Saturday in Rovaniemi, and on Sunday at Aitoon Kirkastusjuhlat. Today the band will find out for how long a time Jussi must remain silent. Should he end up to be operated, all the 20+ gigs, which have been booked for this summer, may be cancelled."

Mittwoch im Iltaa Sanomat stand, dass Jussi wahrscheinlich operiert werden muss, also bereite dich schon mal drauf vor, dass auch Kuopio ausfallen KÖNNTE.
Aber hoffen wir, dass alles gut wird!
Ich werde, wenn ich zu hause bin, noch mal Mikko belabern gehen.

- We would have had 10 gigs within 12 days in Germany. There's absolutely no hope of doing a tournee like that, says Jussi.
He lost his voice for the first time in the beginning of July as there was a hematoma in the lump that had grown in his vocal cords. Jussi is now waiting for the operation because the lump has to be remomved before he can sing as usual. The operation involves a certain risk of losing the voice completely.
- There are people who are strongly against the section but there are no alternatives, Jussi knows.
For July and August Uniklubi had nearly 30 gigs in their calendar. After the beginning of July, the band has played only a couple of gigs.
- Two weeks ago we did three gigs and during the last one I totally lost my voice.
After two weeks of resting the voice Uniklubi returned on the stage this weekend both at Seinäjoki Vauhtiajot and at Kuopio Rockcock.
- The gigs went well so at the moment I'm feeling fine, tells Jussi.

Sein Stimme war auch vollkommen in Ordnung, da hat man nicht gehört, dass er Probleme mit hatte.
Ich wusste gar nicht, dass sie schon ne Tour in Deutschland geplant hatten, ist an mir irgendwie vorbei gegangen.
Na dann hoff ich ja mal, dass er sein Stimme bei der Operation nicht verliert!

Yep, dem stimme ich zu. :) Habe aber trotzdem die Berfürchtung gehabt, sie könnten das Konzert jeden Moment abbrechen.
Am tollsten fand ich ja immer noch die "Let's fuck"-Shirts. :lol:

du, bei meiner gruppe in kuopio war eine spanierin, die durfte auch ne ganze zeit mal nicht reden, weil sie was mit den stimmbändern hatte, die hatte dann immer stift und papier dabei.
täfelchen find ich zu krass, mit der schrift: Kann nicht sprechen, sorry. Oder wie? :lol:
