VERY rare picture???
I got this in the most random email, i don't even know who its from. However, i have worked out that is from Momarkedet 1973, the elusive and ''unknown'' performance. I think this because it has an orchestra, as did 75, they're in ring ring costumes for 73 and in the background you see a ''RD :D or RT :( '' part of the word i hope. I've sent it to Sara at ABBAONTV as she may know more than me.
I believe this is a pretty rare picture however, so i thought i'd show you all.

Nice picture. Look at the size of the microphone back in the day!

Great picture, but it's 74ish... this is Momarked (Norway) 1973 - together with the host Trond Lie:

Here is the pic all blown up. It looks like a fanpic by the way... rare!
No idea but I do not think it is from 1973 because these Ring Ring customes were used in video and on tv after winning with Waterloo in 1974.
But I could not tell you more either...
Thanks for sharing it with us! :agnetha:

I concur. Although I'm far from an expert in matters concerning ABBA, I do have a suspicion that the photo is from sometime during the summer of '74.

Maybe it's from one of the following;
European Tour November 1974 & January 1975
Venues:
17 November Falkonercentret, Copenhagen, Denmark
18 November Kuppelsaal, Hanover, West Germany
19 November Deutsches Museum, Munich, West Germany
21 November Jahrhunderthalle, Frankfurt, West Germany
22 November Hochschule für Musik, Berlin, West Germany
23 November Meistersingerhalle, Nuremburg, West Germany
24 November Jubiläumshalle, Wels, Austria
25 November Kongresshaus, Innsbruck, Austria
27 November Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria
29 November Glocke, Bremen, West Germany
30 November Musikhalle, Hamburg, West Germany
10 January Chateau Neuf, Oslo, Norway
11 January Konserthuset, Stockholm, Sweden
12 January Olympen, Lund, Sweden
17 January Tivolis konsertsal, Copenhagen, Denmark
18 January Scandinavium, Gothenburg, Sweden
20 January Finlandiatalo, Helsinki, Finland
22 January Universum, Umeå, Sweden
I doubt it would be from 75, seeing as we know the performed songs from ABBA album & Wore the Mamma Mia etc outfits rather than Ring Ring. Another thought, Does anyone know if they wore the Waterloo costumes on the late74/early75 tour? Anyone got anymore pictures?

That outfit has always ben a fav of mine!

I doubt this picture is from 1973 - Agnetha's hair and her eye-make-up looked different in 1973 then on this picture.
First I thought this might have been from the The Tommy Cooper Hour but it doesn't look that way either.
But I guess it is from one of their post-Brighton TV-performances somewhere in Europe, maybe Chansons à la Carte, who knows

Nope! :-) Those costumes are tv-show-costumes from spring 1974... but from what?
Isn't the single-sleeve to "Golliwog" a photo with this costume. Did Agnetha do something solo in any tv-show in Mid-Europe??????

ABBAFANUSA - 03.11.2007, 23:02
That's the German release of "Golliwog" which came out in '75 I think.

Just to update everyone;
I sent the picture to Sara at ABBA on TV and it's been identified as ''RTL Golden Lion Award''
Quote: .....and performed live in the "Ring Ring" costumes (you can see the R of the RT in the background of this picture at the 13 second point in the clip below). It is not clear what they performed (most probably "Waterloo") or whether the full show was ever broadcast on TV - only the award acceptance below.

It can't be from 1973 because she had her hair different. Besides the costume is from 1974 and was never worn during a tour. Ergo it's from a 1974 TV show.
Just what are we ABBA fans getting into!

I'm a little puzzled about this consert pic too.
By the way I just thought (I have seriously palnned this for a week or more) to scan some rare 6o's pics from news papers and magazines. Well, I'll really got to do this next week.
blauwbloempje - 31.01.2008, 23:23
Please do Malin! By the way, i agree it must be from 1974 since she didn't have a pony tail (how's id said in english  ) in 1973.
