This armor plate was found close the a FW 190 crashplace. The painting on the outside seems ariginal to me. I think only the FW 190 A-8/R8 of the Sturmstaffeln had such armor.
About in the middle of the plate there is "D72" stamped in.

According to the A-8 Handbook I have the R7's for use by the Sturmstaffeln were in the planning stage for this increased cockpit armor as well.
