Since German is my mother tounge I think that ABBA's German versions are particularly lovely to listen to although the lyrics are pretty corny and the German lyrics for Waterloo even include a Grammar-mistake.
I haven't watched the performance of German Waterloo for ages and I was totally stoked now that I watched I again after years.

It's interesting how comfortable Agnetha seems in this clip, she's also the only one who's shown in a close-up since Frida has obvious problems remembering the lyrics. Agnetha, however, is full of self-confidence for this performance and all in all seems a little different to how she normally presented herself during such performances. I wonder who good her German was back then, considering she was even engaged to a German song-writer.

Anyways, I just wanted to share this performance with you guys, hoping it might cause a similar smile on your face than it did on mine :)

Funny though, that it's always been Björn who used to speak German when they recorded messages for German TV and such and never Agnetha.

Maybe they decided Agnetha would learn German as Frida was taking French and English classes at the time :wink: .
