mmm.. Thanks for that... I'll listen later, when I have more time.. I've been listening to "Gunga i en hammock" lately too.. Beautiful song, & it must be rare too, as I never knew of it's existance until very recently.. (Thanks to a member on this board.. ) Although, she was singing this in the 80s.. Thanks for your links, Soldier.. :)

Thanks for the fantastic links, Soldier! 8) I have already heard the first two, but I don't think I've heard the song in the third link. She is fabulous. I love her singing.. well, nothing new regarding me!
Bonnie - 21.01.2008, 22:30
Lagom skönt and Lasta inte mig were played during the radio special A för Anni-Frid from 1976 I think it was.
En dag en vår I have never heard before, love it. It's got the same arrangement as När du blir min but different lyrics. Interesting to say the least! :D

Toni, time for a new mail.
Sadly there is no a longer version? Whenever I hear that song, I can't but think of the hilarious film with Steve Martin whose body is occupied by Edwina Cartwright (or Cartwater).

How nice Soldier that you referred to my list! I've updated it and will post a more complete version some day soon.
All of me
Lasta inte mig
Lagom skönt
but also
Stars fell on Alabama
Misty
The girl from Ipanema
are from 1964, recorded with the Gunnar Sandevärn Orkester. The songs were recorded for FRIDA's very first demotape with the band. The first three songs were broadcast in 1976, September in the radio special; "A för Anni-frid" by radio station P3. But they only broadcast about a minute of it.
There are full versions of all songs and at least three of them are circulating in fan circles as far as I know.
"En dag om våren" is an early version of "När du blir min" and there are two different takes on that version circulating.
greetz,
F.

Evrytime I think I have about everything Frida something else pops up. Totally cool 8)
It's clearly an early version (En dag om våren) it sometimes seems the words don't fit the melody or the other way around. Quite funny. Or is this supposed to be "jazzy" :D

Katja, that is exactly how I felt when I first found out in 1996, after buying 1967-1972 that FRIDA, my all-time favourite singer, did a cover version of "Can't take my eyes of her" LOL I know my German neighbours went crazy with listening to Wunderbar rar over and over again.. Poor people. Well, not poor in fact. They should have considered themselves lucky.
Thank you very much for these songs Falyngullson!
Now I have a question about "A for Anni-Frid" radio broadcast.
I have seen "A for Agnetha" videos on YouTube and I have a part of it which I am going to upload on YouTube soon (Agnetha putting on make-up and Agnetha in snow playing with her dog) but there are no videos for "A for Anni-Frid" . Can anyone explain this?

These are two different things.
In 1976 (I think) there were 4 separate radio specials in Sweden: A for Agnetha, A for Anni-Frid, B for Benny, B for Bjorn.
In 1985, Agnetha made a TV special to promote her Eyes of a Woman album also called A for Agnetha.
Fire&Ice - 24.01.2008, 16:06
Ian, thanks for the explanation. I did expect to see "A for Anni-Frid" on UTube some time but now I know this will never happen.
Maxi-saxi - 24.01.2008, 23:44
Thanks also iancee for clearing that up as well
I would like to know if these Swedish Specials are available any where they would be great to have in your collection, I never new they existed at all.
