    Paul,
    picture #5 looks like a parachute harness clip/buckle. its slightly diferent to the US chute clips. i dont know what the RAF and LW ones look like.
    look at Mig mans post with his parachute photos. same stlye of fastners.

    he will be here soon to tell you what they are from :D

    Oh yes and a nokia phone if im not mistaken? ;)

    As I thought the parachute buckle to be British I posted these in the RAF field...

    found the same parachute buckle on british crash site !

    Paul, your friend should look for some part numbers on the aluminium parts ;-)

    One is searching for any numbers and probably new pictures will be made.
    This a/c crashed on sandy ground. Probably an 'early' type judging the found fabric and green painted wood....

    Found this insignia also of Halifax- and Wellington- Crash site !!

    Do I see the remains of a British 4lb Incediary bomb in image 4?

    The badge looks like the Warrant Officers type (senior NCO)
