    German Airplane-part 1938, tip of a propeller?
    Hi there,

I have an aluminium object here, which was given to me recently and which could be part of a german airplane, it is dated 1938:

    13,5 cm high, diameter 10cm,

(Its got a hole at the tip which is not vissibleon the pic and which connects to the opening sideways. I could imagine its part of a propeller, but seems to be quite small...

    Total (sorry, pic is sideways)

its a bit bend, as you can see from the bottom:

here is the makers mark as a close-up:
    (J. Schwahlen, Solingen, W?A58 (??) )

Any info would be greatly appreciated...
    :n57:

Hello Chris, it is a part from a gun or Ammunitionpart because of the Waffenamt stamp i think, its not a Luftwaffe part.

    Best Regards.

Maybe the propeller of a torpedo? The torpedos in this time had a propeller on the head to arm the torpedo...

    Regards

Hi Nils, that is not possible, because than it would be "Navy" marked
so Kriegsmarine and this WaA is no Kriegsmarine.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your info!

I was not aware that the WaA stamp is for the Waffenamt. But that does makes sense of course.

But still I am not sure what kind of ammo it would be part of - its too big for a normal grenade or something... :n66:
