Competition in ID No. 1 - your chance
    Hi friends,
I do not need to identify the part on the photo, but this is for you as a little fun or pleasure or a small competition - to try identify what is on the photo. This is first in a series of at least three (other questions will follow).
I want to make something fine for this good researchers community collected around this forum...

Who from you will be able to identify the item on picture first, or who will be "most close" to the actual identification will win a publication from me about the air battle which we are researching. Please answer what do you think... :n108:

    Bye, Jan

    HI JanZ.
Wild guess, could this part be part of a B11 turbo charger,GENERAL ELECTRIC that was fitted to the R3350 engine :n66: .From the pic there looks to be a internal turbo turbine blades and flanges for attaching inlet manifolds to the engine cylinders?.

    Con-gra-tu-la-ti-ons!!!!! :I

I am sure, we have here two winners!

Thanks Ron and Paul for your time... You make it well.
Yes, this is a large part of JUMO 004 engine. Great exhibit to our museum. I am not sure if it was mounted on plane, but for sure it met ETO air war, having damage by the US 50 caliber.

Yo may see more photos of this engine on our museum virtual tour:
    http://www.museum119.cz/tour/chodba.htm
(in ca middle of the page)

The men on picture - Hellmut Detjens and Alfred Ambs were Me 262 pilots with the JG 7 and are explaining function of this engine part... great information source.

Roy, please send me your address as I can ship you your prize.
For Paul I have address, but anyway, Paul, please confirm me if I have correct one.

Thanks gentlemen, soon I will post other competition... The A/C part I have already selected, just need to make some photos and measure it...

    best regards, Jan

Roy, I think you would prefer English version... am I right?
(I think, I will not cut the publication for a front or back part, but wanting that you both will have something, I will cut it for top and bottom halves)... :I
