What if YOU were to interview Anni-Frid Lyngstad???
Hi Everyone,

I was just watching some of the ABBA interviews on YouTube and it came to me, what if I was an interviewer and was told that I was going to be interviewing Frida??? How would I introduce her to the audience...especially an audience of today??? This probably sounds like a pretty weird topic but I thought it might be interesting to try.
I'll start off by saying how I would introduce her.

Anni-Frid Lyngstad is no doubt one of the most successful vocalists of the 70's. Most of us would know her as Frida from ABBA, but we seem to forget that she is a solo artist in her own right. Before, during, and after her success with ABBA she recorded her own solo albums. Each and every one of these albums have the clear and distinct Frida vocals on them. These days Frida enjoys attending charity events and even has her own charity organisation. Would you please welcome the absolutely stunning and elegant Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

First of all I'd have to stay cool in front of her all the time....easier said than done.

To introduce her I would say something along the line of "she became world famous with Swedish pop group ABBA, had a solo career after that and is now living quiet in Switzerland. Ladies and Gentelmen it 's Anni-frid Lyngstad better known as FRIDA!!!!"

But then....gosh...some intelligent questions? :tongue:

Ok, R.. maybe Frida would have to be introduced with some mention of ABBA thrown in but there's no way she could be mistook for an artist with eyebrows THAT prolific! :wink:

I'd introduce her to the strains of some of her lead songs- THAT way NO-ONE would be in any doubt as to who was about to take the stage!!

(I was worried that you wouldn't get the humor in my silly comment, but apparently I hit on a local joke. Don't worry, in just 500 years the whole world will speak one language. Many languages will have disappeared completely. :shock: )

I reckon it will be Welsh, its on the increase. 500 years I won't be around so I don't have to start learning it yet!

I wonder how many languages Frida can converse in?? (I suspect that Serbian is not one of them.) Did she ever learn Norwegian - her birth-country? Switzerland is a mix of German, Italian, French and bits of others. What language does she speak at "home"? Most Frida interviews are in English or Swedish. :)

It seems that Agnetha could hold her own in German, and I've heard Björn interviewed in Spanish. :D (I think there's a topic somewhere covering the ABBA languages.)
