I'm Still Alive - Best quality sound I have heard
This is the best quality sound of the song I have come across. Beautiful. Should have been put on the Super Trouper album :-

Thank you Lisa! :D

Yeah Lisa! This is the best quality of "I´m Still Alive" I have ever heard, too!
Absolutely brilliant! :blob1:
By the way the fotos are interesting, too. I haven´t seen very often pics of the Japan concerts. I like the hairstyles of the girls, but make up fashion in 1980 was horrible.

Incredible! The sound is just amazing!
I have several versions but they all are from the 1979 tour and not this good!
:D

Very good sound indeed. I have a recording from the Paris concert on CD, but the quality of that one is so bad that you can barely hear the lyrics.

"It's good quality and different from the Budokan recording I know!
The clip is by abbataheri who's a member of this forum. abbatareri's TV clips can be found in this sushi thread:

What a stunning version.
IF Universal should finally release A Live Album at some stage, Not holding my breath,
This should be on it, The should be able to clean it up, or more to the point I bet you they have a version sitting somewhere in the vaults.

Thanks to abbataheri. Great quality.

By playing the clip back thought a graphic equalizer I can adjust the frequency bands to make it sound even better. :D The video could have been made with filtering. :D
Now I need to buy DSP audio processing software to kill the echo. There's a bunch of clips that could be improved. I'll put it on my list and let you know when I'm up to speed. (At my present rate - maybe never).

This also shows she was good when she sang live.

Even better quality here!
Hello everybody
This is the better version of all from YouTube, imho ;-)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM6RdRlNyZw&fmt=18
(Added "&fmt=18" to the end, thanks Pepe for remember that to me. In this way can be heard with the same quality that saving it in mp4 format on your hard disk using a site that I didn't know that no one could cite to record the vid on your hard drive. In short, you must remember not to mention that site that will let you KEEP (the) VID dot com, only for your information  )
Will we ever have an official record of this wonderful gem?
Bye, José Antonio

ABBAFANUSA - 05.09.2008, 06:28
Both are great, but I agree with José Antonio, his link is the better version.
especially by adding &fmt=18 to the end of the URL to hear it in stereo!!
lin - 05.09.2008, 08:18
Hi Thanks
Erwin - 05.09.2008, 17:55

Thanks for the links guys :D

Doubts, doubts
I have doubts about the suitability of the edit in my first post in this thread. Is there a way to warn quickly to the mods?
I have doubts too about the convenience to post a message like that (the first of my posts in this thread, not this message you are reading ;-)) in an existent thread or create a new thread, can someone clarify whether it is better one or another solution?
And one more: if like in this case, that song was never officialy published, and therefore never officialy existed, applies the law regarding copyrights, etc
Sorry for the headache
Bye
José Antonio

Jose,
copyrights do not depend on whether something was published or not. If it is not published, the genuine copyright protects the free decision of the right owner not to publish it. It is not "non-existent" just because it hasn't been published.
Despite this rather theoretic dispute, I apologize to tell you that we have decided not to support ANY open music or video file sharing links on the forum. We want to be on the safe side, and, most important, want to keep the moderating effort in a reasonable magnitude. We simply don't have the time to discuss every single link whether it is a pass or not. We have real lives. We ask our members to accept that file sharing is restricted to private channels.
Thank you.
