Summary of fuel consumption
in the ships overwiew the fuel burning is shown only for a single turn. I thought i have read about a display where i can read the summary of fuel burning for the whole distance!
Where the hell is it?

Try the following:
View the ship's data (overview screen). Then click on the big NAV topic above. Look at the left side of the ship's screen...
When you've set more than a waypoint you will see the full distance and the estimated fuel consumption for the whole distance. Nice?

what i meant is a solution for this:
Fuel consumption is a common point of confusion. The Fuel Burn number
in the navigation tab does NOT tell you how much fuel you will burn
going to your destination. Rather, it simply tells you how much fuel
you will burn *per turn* at the current speed. If you reach your
waypoint in less than one turn then you will burn less than this
number, and if you reach your waypoint in more than one turn then you
will burn more

What? :?:
Just for verifying... what do you mean when you say 'destination'?
The end of your route? One of several waypoints? Different targets?
In my explanation I've only a destination at the end of a full route in mind (no matter how many waypoints between point A and B). On the overview page (client v4.000.049) you see the calculation for the first waypoint only... right! But at the NAV page you see the complete route (all waypoints included) in distance, the ETA (estimated time of arrival) and the full fuel consumption. If you don't believe it please set different waypoints for a ship and try it out. Test it with different ranges. - I see it still working for the Robots and CoM races (just in a test game). No problem.

that was a sequence of what Jörg anywhere in the internet. why i am talking about it? We both have set a single waypoint, which should be reached in a few turns. The overview said there is enough fuel to reach the destination, but hte ships ended without fuel after one turn!
That´s why we are thinking about this topic!

Yep. Okay... good to know. I was confused by the first message here. There you asked where to find the fuel consumption for the whole distance.
As I began I had the same problem. IMHO the Planets client of those days hadn't a working solution for burned fuel over the whole distance (only first waypoint). For the "little friends" (fighters) it was an adventure to plan more then one waypoint while checking fuel consumption.

If it would be possible I would upload screenshots. But this board hasn't such a function for upload gfx. So I tried a link to some screenshots. Maybe this will help.
As you can see: I'm not wrong. With the CoM you can calculate the whole distance. I've tried the Empire with hyperjump device... hmmm... the estimated fuel consumption is the same on both screens... sounds like a bug. BTW I don't believe the consumption because this ship burned about 756 KT fuel at ONE turn but has three turns to go with a total of 1,194 kt. Hmmmm... 756 kt a turn * 3 = ???... Sounds not very good...
In my earlier example I've used a smaller ship (lower mass) and short distance waypoints. The estimated burned fuel for the whole distance was nearly equal to the real burned fuel. So I thought that the NAV screen showed good values for fuel consumption...
Well, here is the common ship's overview screen:
When clicking at the NAV (topic/button/bar/whatever - choose a name for yourself) the following NAV screen appears:
(screenshots at the used URL only available for a week or two...)

grrr .... but thanks for the pics ..
that is not the problem ..
If I set ONE waypoint that shows maybe eta 3 .......
How to see what the ship really will burn down ?
Like in good old vp3?
Greetings
