It seems like these days everyone is bisexual, or gay, being straight suddenly isn't all that trendy any more..
Is it a trend, or does it have more to do with societys accepetance of bisexuality as normal. People who would normally have hidden the fact they were bi, are suddenly able to be more open about it.
And does the openess happen in real life, or just online? I see many many bi's online, but I come across very few in real life..
But that might have more to do with the people I hang out with...
Your thoughts??

I think I'm sick of hearing about gays and straights and bi's. Especially when fags make a big deal about being gay. Somehow I think if they weren't so friggen feminine, other people wouldnt care.
Another thing I don't get, gays don't like girls, but will date a feminine guy, and leso's don't like guys, but will go out with a shim. It's stupid.
Everyone shoul djust fuck everyone in the arse, then it wont matter what you are.

I've actually never come across any openly gay/bi people in real life yet.
Which is weird, because I have so many friends online who are...and yet in real life they must be in hiding or something!

I actually come across a higher concentration of GLBTs because I'm in both a Gay-Straight Alliance and a support group for those questioning or having family problems with it. I myself am bisexual, as well as quite a few of my friends who are either gay or bi as well.
The openness comes when a community (be it a school, a group of friends, or a nation) is safe to do so within, particularly if you meet someone who is GLBT as well. It's a bit like finding out you're not the only Jewish kid on the block, and it's comforting. The internet is safer because it's anonymous.
I think there is a trend amongst teenage girls who call themselves bisexual in order to seem more attractive to boys' lesbian fantasies. They'll typically be really slutty about kissing but never be found in a lesbian relationship.
For the bi's that actually do enter homosexual relationships though, there isn't as much acceptance. Both straight and gay people think that they're homosexuals in denial, just going through a stage of coming out. Others believe that they'll simply fuck anything. I'm not sure which one is more annoying. :roll:

Hahahaha! Yeah, it has the potential, but if you're thinking along the lines of the ominous threesome, I'd let her bring it up first. She may be more level headed than I, but when my fella brought it up I got mighty insecure for a while. :P

Yeah, I think generally it's because it're more socially acceptable now, and so gay and bi people are finding it easier to come out of the closet.I mean a few hundred years ago, it was a act punishable by death, so it's no wonder they're now embracing it.
That said, I do think some people are claiming homosexuality and bisexuality as it's now seen as "the cool thing" to do.Possibly because of the stereotyping of gays as being very fashion concious.

You find more gay/bi's on the net because it's easier to be open on here instead of real life. Everyone is curious at some point but some people mistake curiosity for bisexuality.
I do dislike the few guys pretending to be bi for fashion. It's easy enough to find them and ignore them though.

Ha ha funny I was in fights constantly in highschool with jocks and boys who would constantly rag on my bestfriend Chris who is gay.
You know I was more rough than Chris was and I would scream at them and want to fight at one point I actually got my head slammed into a tampon machine I thought he broke my nose!! :oops: But thats only because I had beat up a dude and they had to you know lower my bar.. highschool politics my friends ..
We had bi friends and Chris would make fun of them .. there is a word oh yes "half breed" ha ha he would call them "half breeds" and talk trash good natured of course and in a joking matter would say they were just greedy.
I myself am completely straight and have never had the impulse to be with another girl, though since I hang out with alot of guys make rough comments like "she has a nice rack" or "her ass is too flat" and can watch porn openly in a very platonic matter.

Most of the 13-17/bi/female highschool crowd say it because it's cool, apart from that I haven't notice so much of what you're talking about, I am very much 'just straight' as are most of my friends. The gays are gay, and the bis are bi as well, but it's not something that is ever mentioned simply because no one cares.

Meh, I never care much about who people are sleeping/dating with when. I figure until they start propositioning me I, I don't really figure into that equation.
I think you see more glbtq people because, there are now lots of movements to get more acceptance. Expecially in legal matters (speaking from that oh so backwards land of america/south korea)
Also people no longer care. The age groups that are most actively dating were raised with gay folk around so they don't see any reason to be hesitant about stating who they are dating/wanting to date
