Hi there,
after seeing all the great trips the other guys have posted - I almost don't dare to post such short trips anymore :roll:
..inspired by some pictures of Ken (flying over that Dam), last week Sunday a mate and me decided to fly to the nearest storage lake to stomach all the cake..
So we ended up at the Moehnesee a lake on the nothern edge of the Sauerland close to Soest. Nothing special but the weather ! Very seldom to have such situations these days in October!
sight from pole to pole..
flying a bit to the east, avoding CTR Dortdmund then approaching the power plant of Hamm
Kurt is doing a good job so the Captain can pay his full attention to gambling around on his PDA running PocketFMS (forgot to brighten the backlight)
its not that far away, so we get his one again:
check out the incredible color of my interiour !

and then ! ...well... at least.. it is a dam :roll:
looking South the Sauerland seems to be endless wood..
and by the way - maybe someone can tell me what the furuncle this is ??
guess it's a shooting site.. ?
..finally we took a look on Muenster a bit to the North..
no flight from EDLM without those 8)
back on the ground we met this Saucy Mama
Antonov An2 - I love them ! we see them a lot around here for sightseeing and tourist flights..
I couldn't resist..
note the take off distance (little white pole) !
so we went home and ate the rest of the cake :mrgreen:

:!: :!: Wow :!: :!: What a trip, Kublai. You got some great photos, and I have to say the weather you had for it made me envious :!: Looks like a great ride but the best part was the big radial engine after you got home. Boy, I love hearing those :D
