    A.M.D Roadmap
    VR-Zone have produced a roadmap for A.M.D cpu's

    http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=5078

I was going to upgrade a few months ago when the new A.T.I graphics card came out, I was so un-impressed I did not bother.

A.M.D's time - frame is going to be to late for me I think, I am going to invest in a 24 inch monitor soon and switch from A.M.D to Intel when the new x 38 motherboards hit the on-line stores.

I am hoping I can get away with using my old graphics card until Christmas unless Nividia reduce prices somewhat.

I don't realy want to pay top- dollar for a card that is going to be replaced in 6 months time. At this stage in its life I would normaly expect to see a price drop but they have no competition at the high- end so why should they bother.

I suspect my 1900xt may realy struggle with new titles at high res. so i may just have to bite the bullet and pay over the odds for a Nividia card.

Well its not enough to break the lines of mordor and unlike the riders of rohan, it comes too late.

By the time it comes Intel will have penryn up and running at clockspeeds 3 GHZ +.
Be prepared for the next AMD bummer.

well i dont know what your talking about when it comes to ati my friend there new cards are destroying nvidea once again the the new amd chips are on there way late september
people forget that amd where leading the cpu war for the last 10 years using only the athlon fx and the x2 cores it was about time they came up with somthing new and im sure like nvidea vs ati amd did not want to rush there shit out so in a few month i expect amd to be kings a for may more years to come

GANDALF ONCE SAID ON THE FIRST LIGHT ON THE THIRD DAY LOOK TO THE EAST

WELL AMD'S THIRD DAY IS COMING IN THE NAME OF THE PHENOM WITCH IS A TURE QUAD CORE CPU UNLIKE INTELS QUAD CORE WITCH IS IN FACT 2 DUO CORES PUT TOGETHER

IM NOT SURE WHAT THE OUTCOME WILL BE BUT IM SURE AMD IS NOT HOLDING BACK JUST TO EAVEN UP WITH INTELS DESIGN

LIKE THE BATTLE BETWEEN ATI AND NVIDEA

NVIDEA RUSHED THERE DX10 CARDS WHILE ATI WAITED TO PROFECT THERS AND NOW LEAVING PPL WHO HAD BOUGHT A NVIDEA DX10 CARD CRYING

IM SURE THIS WILL BE THE SAME IN THE BATTLE FOR THE CPU CROWN

My last four graphics cards have all been A.T.I as my last 4 c.p.u's have all been a.m.d.

I cant say anything I have read about A.T.I's high end cards makes me want to rush out and buy one. I should realy have upgraded a couple of months ago but I have been dragging my heels as a New Nvidia card is due in a couple of months so prices will change soon.

If A.T.I can bring asomething out that uses less power, less noise and runs well with a.a enabled I would be happy to buy one as my 1900 xt has been one great card to have.

Phenom will be to late for me I suspect but it looks good.

Only thing I can't decide is on is should I get a cheap high clocked dual core and switch to quad next year when clocks are higher or just go for a quad now.
