ABBA in Germany
Some interesting clips with German TV appearances have been added to utube again:
ABBA at "Am laufenden Band" with Rudi Carrell, February 1978
(German channels RB and WDR) - with some rarely seen parts, unfortunately bad quality again:
ABBA entering the show

Sketch with short interview and scenes from "The Movie"

Thank You For The Music

shorter, but better quality: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DymwQSI883s
Translation of the interview is on ABBAonTV

I really hope Radio Bremen will show the special "25 years of ABBA" with their shows (this here and Musikladen) again soon... I've mailed them once, but received no answer.
There also is - in better quality:
People Need Love at "Disco" (with the faked Agnetha)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1O0mdUtuVm8
Caution, don't get shocked: ABBA's at the final part of the clip. Vader Abraham is first - unbelievable that this was a No. 1 single in Germany once...
And finally here it is again:
"Vom Hofbräuhaus zur Reeperbahn" with Tony Marshall at Disco 1976
great fun to watch ABBA marching and "schunkel" around:

Don't miss it this time!

Thanks for all the links Joachim!
The other day I saw that little clip of ABBA at Am Laufenden Band. I remember seeing it back then and hearing Agnetha say that her baby says ABBA ABBA ABBA. Loved it! It was great to see that again after almost 30 years... Gosh I'm getting old!
And to mention ABBA in sentenses together with Vader Abraham and Tony Marshall is just hilarious!
  :D

 Why does this clip make me think of Chiquitita and Super Trouper?
Thanks Joe, great links! I have seen the interview with Rudi Carell earlier and I enjoyed it very much. He talked about how the pairs go together well and then Agnetha tells him, "nein, das ist falsch"! He is genuinely surprised though I think it had already been prepared. I also liked how Frida almost fell into his chair but Bjorn the gentleman gives her a hand to sit up. And of course little Christian who is very talkative with two months and "ABBA ABBA ABBA ABBA"

Agnetha with Hape Kerkeling on TV show "Känguru" 1985
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AULy2EFekCY
(just the first 20 s, forget the rest of the clip ;-) )
In opposite to the description of the clip presenter Hape Kerkeling actually wasn't attempting to talk Swedish. He's a German comedian who became famous during the 80's. One of his usual kind of gags is his imitation of foreign languages and that's what he was doing here as well.
Off-topic:
Kerkeling's probably known best for his imitation of Dutch queen Beatrix. He was dressed up like her when she was visiting Germany 1991. Sitting in a limousine "Beatrix" Kerkeling was driving to the Bellevue palace in Berlin where the German president was expecting the queen. It's just great to see the security people trying to manage the situation... :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3YlBZ2VFzs (Btw: this was produced by the same TV station as ABBA's "Musikladen" special.) :wink1:
I hope all Austrians will excuse that I place the following link here. I just didn't want to start an extra thread for a single, low-quality and incomplete clip:
ABBA arriving at Vienna Airport 1979 - part of "Okay Tour News Report" by Austrian TV (should have been ORF), the interview with B&B is missing
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqhfD_MarH0
Now I just hope I haven't caused any diplomatic crisis with both Austria and The Netherlands.
Enjoy!

Agnetha´s performance in "Känguru" was shown at 18th April 1985 on ARD. Her video was shown in "Formel eins" at 15th April on Bayern 3.
More appearances from 1985 in German/Austrian Tv:
19th January: ABBA Greatest Hits (it was only on my tv, because I lended the video on that day :D )
At 8th August 1985 Agnetha had another tv appearance in Germany in "Rock Festival: Goldene Rose von Montreux" and at 18th August she was in "Känguru" again.
"ABBA - The Movie" was shown at 21th September 1985.
I have written that all in a little book at that time.

Golden Lion Award 1974 (Goldener Löwe)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdDJqHLqsgc
Translation of the German comment:
The group ABBA is from Sweden. As expected the Grand Prix winning title "Waterloo" also finished at the first place and therefore the second Golden Lion was confered.
