...and you will know us by The Trail of Dead. Tja, was soll man viel dazu sagen? Nach dem Album the secrets of Elena's tomb das zweite Album der drei Briten. Der Musikstil liegt zwischen Noise Rock und Post Rock, wobei böse Zungen behaupten das auch sehr viel Indie Rock beigemischt ist.
Erschienen ist das Album bei Interscope Records, wo man auch Bands wie Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails und U2 findet.
Viel monotone Melodie mit inhaltlich sehr anspruchsvollen Texten bekommt man für ca. 14 Euro :? in den gängigeren Plattenläden.
Hier ein kleiner Ausschnitt des Textes von Worlds Apart:

Nun ja... Ich finds recht angenehm. Tolle Musik fürs allein sein, aber nicht für jedermann geeignet. Damit will ich sagen, dass die Jungs von ToD nicht gerade Stimmungskanonen sind, obwohl der Beat einiger Lieder wohl zum Fusswippen einlädt.
Effekt: Britischer Sommerregen für die Wohnung.

also live waren das sehrwohl stimmungskanonen!!!
hab sie am nova rock gesehen, kannte sie vorher nicht, aber die haben wirklich gerockt. das war meine persönliche überraschung des tages.
die wahnsinnigen haben schon nach halber spielzeit begonnen, ihr equipment zu zerstören und am ende blieb nichts mehr heil übrig. *yeah*
ach ja, und gute musik :)
