Zunächst einmal:
Grundsätzlich vier pets, wenn du ein Merchant bist. Das heißt, du darfst auch einen Shop haben, deren Vergrößerung man einmalig bezahlen muss.
Wählst du als Charakter jedoch Rancher, darfst du bis zu 25 Pets haben. Du züchtest und verkaufst pets also und hast damit kein Anrecht auf einen Shop.
Es gibt noch die Gruppe Society, aber was es damit auf sich hat, weiß ich nicht genau.

If you choose the Merchant as playing character you may have four pets. That also allows you to have a user shop. If you want to update your shop you have to pay for it.
A Rancher can have 25 creatu. You breed and sell them but you can’t have an user-shop at the same time.
There’s also the character-group Society – but I still don’t understand what that means.
Class Name: Rancher
The Rancher will be able to raise up to 25 pets in hopes of selling them. This is similar to raising cattle and selling them. The downside is the owner must train and care for them until they become valuable enough to sell. More rare pets will fetch more, while less rare would cost less. The higher the stats, the more they could be sold for.
Class Name: Merchant
The merchant will be able to open user shops. This option will not be available for you unless you are a merchant. Merchants will be able to gain exclusive, wholesale prices on items and then place them in their shop in hopes of turning a profit.
Class Name: Society
These characters would be the authors and biology lovers. This is based on the Audobon Society today. These characters love animals and enjoy watching and researching them.

Ich glaube bei der Society class hat man mehr Glück in den Wäldern freilaufende Pets zu finden. Außerdem kann man auf Relcore ein Labyrinth erforschen. Dabei hatte ich aber kein wirkliches Glück als ich Society Class war, weshalb ich dann auch Rancher gewechselt bin um vorübergehend mehr Pets haben zu können, da ich nicht solange mit dem hatchen warten will aber ein Baby-Pet noch nicht gleich in die Freiheit entlassen möchte.

I believe in society class you have more luck to find a pet in the woods. Aside from that you can explore the labyrinth on Relcore. But I had not much luck with that, which is the reason why I changed to rancher. Another reason is that I wanted to have more pets for some time, mainly because I'm too impatient to wait with hatching pets and I don't want to release baby-pets into the wild.

Wie wir herausgefunden haben, kann man als Rancher soviele Pets haben wie man will. Auf der Hand dürfen es nur 25 sein (allerdings gibt es einen glitch der verursacht, dass manche acuh dort mehr haben können) und im Shop dürfen es soviele sein wie man eben mag. Die Pets im Shop können nicht sterben. Man kann den Shop auch als Gallery missbrauchen, wenn man die Pets unbezahlbar teuer macht, um damit zu zeigen, dass sie unverkäuflich sind.

As we discovered Rancher can have an endless amount of pets. You may only have 25 on your hand (some might have more because of a glitch) but as much as you want in your shop. The pets you put in your shop can't die and you can use your shop as gallery too. If you set the prize incredible high, they will be signified as unbuyable and there you have your pet gallery.

Vor einiger Zeit hat sich dieses ein bisserl geändert.
RANCHER, also Züchter dürfen nach wie vor im Profil maximal 25 Pets haben. Im Shop so viele, wie man will, da man selbigen für tu auch vergrößern kann. Züchter dürfen weiterhin 3 x am Tag hatchen. Nach wie vor gilt: die eigenen Pets, die im shop sind, sollte man auf *not for sale* stellen (durch eine Zahlenkombination) oder eben so astronomisch hoch, dass es auch so von den anderen verstanden wird.
MERCHANT, also Verkäufer mit einem user-shop dürfen nun bis zu 15 pets im Profil haben. Dafür dürfen sie aber nur einmal am Tag hatchen.
Bei SOCIETY hat sich - glaube ich - nichts geändert.

Mit V2 scheint es keine Society Class mehr zu geben.
Für Rancher und Merchant gibt es jetzt aber ein neues Goody, den Showroom. Dort können Pets gesammelt werden. Besonders für Merchants ist der Showroom ideal, wenn sie ihre Pets nicht täglich füttern wollen und mehr als 15 Pets haben möchten. Auch für Rancher ist der Showroom praktisch, da sie nun nicht mehr ihren Rancher Shop als Showroom missbrauchen müssen.
Nur leider ist das noch nicht bei allen Usern angekommen. Viele bunkern ihre Pets noch im Rancher Shop, was bei der Suche nach kaufbaren Pets bisweilen lästig sein kann, da man sich of durch endlose Listen an 0-Priced Pets quälen muss, bevor man auf Kaufbare stößt.
