Quick Random things form a spacey jet lag void that is my consciouness

*In store performance and meet and greet was a highlight for me this year.
Thanks to each and every one of you who gave up time on their Saturday to come and make an old man feel popular. I loved meeting people who had been fans since the beginning and the newbies. You're all gold and I love you for it.

*I made the somewhat ambitious decision to fly up to Brisbane tonight to have dinner with my family and fly back to Sydney tomorrow. I had severe space head jet lag fog brain and was almost certainly not even in the same post code let alone restaurant as my poor family tonight. Sorry! But the thought was there!

*I have a pre production meeting for the video for 'Me Myself and I' tomorrow (there I said it) and god willing I'll keep my eyes open enough to find out exactly what it is I have to find out.

*I am somewhat obsessed with Siobahn Donaghy

*I am glad Robyn is having a hit. Her single is gorgeous. Go get her album when it comes out if you like the single. It's more and more and better.

*Big shout out to HUM records on Oxford St in Sydney for being a kick ass independent record store and for having me today. Love them.

*I had a few little teary moments today meeting some amazing people who took the time to express love and encouragement to me. It really humbled me and I felt that grattitude you can only have when you've been held up by loving arms.
To the girl I told was strong, to the folks who'd flown in, to the people with tattered and well worn cd slicks from ancient times - THANK YOU!!!

I'm off to bed.

I don't know, I like this song and it's good for a single but I prefered Listen All You People on 2nd single :cry:

I don't know... I haven't heard all of 'Listen' yet, and I LOVED 'Me, Myself and (I) at the Soho Revue Bar. Mika and the Scissor Sisters have indeed had success with similar songs (falsettowise).

I think it's a nice second single! :)

It's only the second single...I'm sure 'Listen' will make it aswell. But M,M&I is a good choice however. Damn, now I wanna see the video :!:

I was very happy when I saw that we can purchase the singlesŽon iTunes Germany as well. Could help.

Do you know if the iTunes sales count towards the charts in Germany? I think they do in Norway, but Darren mentioned they don't in Australia. A shame!

I totally agree with you, it's weird if it doesn't count. I'm not sure why it doesn't count in Australia, but I remember Darren saying it a few days ago :)

Let's hope they count most places in Europe, because i reckon there will be quite a few sales from iTunes :)

You know what, I can almost guarantee you that Darren will come to Germany next year. He's doing a massive world tour, and Germany is a huge country (as well as close to the UK). So I wouldn't worry about that! :wink:

Darren was in Germany during the promotion of Spin. I remember he performed at RTL and he had the same sweater like in Poland when he was there :D So maybe it wasn't tour but always something... ;-)

^^Don't you know any good promoters for concerts here in NRW? Sometimes fans CAN do something. If we could get a promoter interested in Darren, there's a huge chance that he might perform over here. In Cologne for example, also known as the world's gay capital. I'm sure Darren would feel comfortable :mrgreen:

Well, depends on how big the venue should be. I know some promoters of locations, but they are here in Duisburg (which is not the worldŽs most famous town), and well, ONE venue wonŽt do. We can try to connect someone in Cologne... that would be a fab idea. Thinking about it, we could try to get him to perform at the CSD Cologne next year as the main act :D :D :D HOW COOL IS THIS?? I know some people who are working at this kind of commitee, it should be possible, with a little help of someone who, erm, knows more about a business like this ;-)

I must say I don't really like "Lets Go". It's one of the songs I rather skip than having it on repeat. But "Slow Down" is very nice and sexy. NIIICE, How much!?

I know. I didn't get the codes until today either, and we were promised them yesterday (which would be normal as it was the day of RELEASE!). I find it weird they are doing it this way, but I guess it's the only way it can count towards the charts, isn't it :?:

Yes, the songs are great! But seriously, I don't know what to feel about Every Little Thing. Can I say that it's both good and bad? :lol:

I'd like to start up by saying a biiig thanks for the songs uploaded - and up the only Remix I have been able to download here in Sweden - doubt it's even correctly named - but here you guys go -- it's Me, Myself & (I) (Andrew Friendly Mix) 6:17 in 320 kbps.

So the single debuted at #59 on the UK charts... Pretty crappy, but not bad I guess since it hasn't had any promo.

I like it more that Darren is touring rather than promoting songs. More fun for the fans! :) But I guess that goes to a limit as well. He needs to chart well if he plans to continue the way he's doing.

It's a lot easier for the BIG companies to promote... Darren is his own company...meaning it costs a shitload more + he needs a lot of connections to get that job done well - and well - my guess is that he prioritizes the gigs - and small things around that - a lot more than the records, why? I have no clue. Too many people who loved Savage Garden back in the day - don't even know that Darren still exists as an artist today. Yes - it's good for us that he chooses the touring over the promoing - as it means we get to see him more often...

And that is the only reason i actually bought the songs on DH.com *again* - cause I really do want the man to be able to have a decent living - there are ONLY 2 bands I'd ever buy downloads from - the other being the Swedish rock band "kent"...

However sadly I have no vinyl player :p - so will not be able the "Who Would Have Thought" (Acoustic Version)...

If anyone can either find that for sale as download somewhere - or rip his / her vinyl for us all to hear (in a decent mp3 rip like perhaps 320 kbps) I'd be most grateful...

Now I also bought a few of the other remixes...Can't seem to find the "Andrew Friendly Radio Edit" tho - that's the one on Andrew's Myspace...again - if anyone can direct me...please do.

And please buy the acoustic version of "Me, Myself & (I)" - it's more than amazing ;)

Hm, that makes sense to me. But it also means a lot of costs to us... traveling to other countries etc, as he wonŽt show up in ours (well, speaking of Germany...). It is always a high amount of extra work fpr me to be able to see Darren live ;-) But well, so it will always be sth special... maybe you are right, maybe he really has to prioritise... you canŽt fight at all frontiers, but still, I wish the word would spread a little wider... ;-)
