Hi Ross,
I only have one Moody Blues CD, a "best of," and an audio cassette, but oooooooohhhh, Justin Hayward's voice can melt stone......................... I lived in Cincinnati for awhile several years ago, and the "classic rock" station there played a lot of MBs...
They are fabulous.
:)
(shouldn't this be in "other artists?")

i always love a show at red rocks, and i love the Moody Blues. they never seem to go for the deeper tracks , though. lately their set lists are very predictable. still a great show to see.

This topic being started just now is a bit coincidental. I was going through some old CD's looking for a particular album and I ran across "Long Distance Voyager", the only album I have of The Moody Blues. I hadn't listened to the album for about 15 years so I gave it another listen. It is really a great album I like every song on it. I even ripped the album to my computer. :D
I particularly like "The Voice", "Veteran Cosmic Rocker" and "In My World". "Gemini Dream" was the big hit from this album, although I enjoy it, it got too much airplay back in the day and is not my favorite track from the album.
I especially like "In My World" because it holds some special memories for my wife and I. It's a simple but beautiful song.

I stumbled across this video while searching for film from the International Space Station.
This is video taken (at increased speed) from the space station as it orbits the earth. The view as it passes over lightining storms is fascinating. However, the view as it passes over an Aurora Borealis discharge is simply STUNNING! I'd viewed auroras several times in my younger days growing up in Alaska, but seeing it from above is really breath-taking. Watch it at YouTube on the high resolution if you get the chance. 8)
The song is, appropriately, "In My World" by The Moody Blues, which happens to be one of my favorites from the band.

Love the Moody Blues and love Justin Hayward's voice/easily one of my favourite male singers and bands - so thrilled when the wonderful Agnetha chose one of his songs - The Angels Cry - for her album -EOAW..great choice! :D
