Hi there

I found the online discussion group on the the original Abbasite not long before it disappeared. I've just found out about this in the latest "Intermezzo". It's great that it has got going - thank you to all involved.

My name's Eileen and the music of the four members of Abba as a group and as individuals has been extremely dear to my heart since 1976, when I was 13. Unfortunately I never managed to see the group live, but have managed to see all three of the musicals more than once. I also saw the Benny Anderssons Orkester playing in Glasgow in my homeland a couple years ago. It was quite surreal to see Benny sitting at a piano a few meters away in my home territory, especially as I remember the impossibility to getting to see the group on their previous visit to the city in 1979.

I think it's wonderful that Mamma Mia has been so successful, but my own ambition for the immediate future is to see "Kristina" performed in English at the very first opportunity. I had the incredible good fortune to be able to see the final dress rehearsal of the beautiful original Swedish production in Malmö in 1995 and I'm prepared to blow my meagre savings and brave my first ever long-haul flight across the Atlantic so that I can witness the moment when the English-speaking world discovers the musical treasure they've been overlooking for the last 12 years! You can tell this is an emotional subject :wink:
