oh man, how i love this book, there is just no way to put it in words, i really want to have sex with it...
no way, it is really great how the author always manages to resolve any suspense or tension that could be created right away by telling how things will go on... oh me oh my...

I arrived at page 60 now and I have to say that I really do like the book...
sure, the author doesn't create too much tension ... but in my opignon that doesnt change the depth of the story which is much closer to my life than many other books i had to read in the last few years.
there already were some inspirations and new ideas which i could take out of the book... i'm nearly curious for what comes next!
what do you, the mysterious, nearly never posting users of this forum, think about it so far?

okay Wobsie, you want to eat only one egg a day, sell everything you've got and when your money runs out you will live in Central park eating garbage. Good luck!

thanks :D

but you forgot that i don't eat eggs.
anyway, i rather meant some thoughts he brings up which give some new possibilities of seeing things... these thoughts might but arent stringently connected with living in central park eating garbage.
but honestly, i don't know if i want to go through that kind of extreme experience as he did.. i dont know if its necessary to go that kind of way or if there are some other possibilities of reaching that grade of self-experience.
i just think that its really, really interesting to see the way the character went to reach ( aware of it or not ) that degree of knowing/experience.

is there any other way to say "that kind of..." ??
Re: wooohooo
schmon - 10.05.2007, 19:36
@wobsie: that degree/extend/level of... i guess
i read about 40 pages just today and i am actually kinda starting to like the book too. i especially like the way he kinda drifts off in his own thought all the time. and those are really interesting trails of though, partially. thing is, though, you can lose yourself when you dirft away too far and especially in such a large city with no one but fate looking out for you that probably ends up meaning tough luck for you...
but it does start to get interesting...

i agree with schmon and wobsie, i really like the book, (because, i understand, what he is talking about *laugh*) well, no, seriously, it is a good "school-book" i mean, it is interesting and i learn many new words (i've used in my test :wink: ) ... i do really like the book...!
@wobsie: he ate two eggs a day !! :D
(i felt sorry for him as his two eggs had fallen down and he hadn't anything to eat... "I sat down and cried"... the poor guy :cry: )
there are many parts of the book you can quote from... ("i pulled down her jeans and her pants and made her an orgasm with my tongue" yeeha... (i think, the quote isn't correct, but roughly...))
