This is the mother bear we saw on our trip.....you can see just how close she was to me. This photo was taken with a regular camera!

The story of the bear (that eddie told in Dreamkeeper) popped into my head when we saw her and her cubs. I wonder what they'd do if they saw a bear up that close.

The cubs were cute as could be and so was mamma - but if I'm going to wrestle a grisley - I'd just soon it be :shock:

I am glad we got to see the Bears up close - Linda had been dying to see one.....and we saw 3. The cubs were extremely cute but getting photos of mamma was one thing - we didn't want to linger and try for the cubs.

Gosh I wish I was back down in Cherokee.......I need to make my way back down there again real soon.

yes that one about how the bear was considered grandfather and the hunters killed it.

I posted that photo on myspace in a bulliten and would you believe it got to the point that it would not come up....so I deleted it. Keri told me probably because it had been viewed so much.
