Love Isn't Easy (But It Sure Is Hard Enough)
What are your thoughts on this song? I think it's just great and listening to it now it seems almost like an undiscovered gem. Love it. A&A sound great, upbeat and I love the way the whole group is represented. So catchy, I wish ABBA had done more of this 'shared vocals' thing. Reminiscent of The Mamas And The Papa's.

I agree with you, I like this song very much. In fact, I've always been found of the "odd" ABBA songs, because I think they make ABBA less "slick", and adds a variation to their music. This song's got a lot of energy, and I also like the "shared vocals" songs, because they give a variation to the "ABBA" sound.
Songs like "People Need Love" , "He Is Your Brother", "Another Town, Another Train", "Dance ( while the music... )" and "Why Did It Have To Be Me" are other songs I think benefit from partly male and partly female vocals.

I've always wondered, though, the title "Love Isnt Easy, But It Sure Is Hard Enough" sounds strange to me.... I'm not one to judge, but is it good English?? It's the "but" that sounds strange to me.. :?:

I really like this song, It has grown on me over the years. Now that I've the clip to go with the song I like it even Better.

I love The Mamas And The Papas and I agree that this could be a song of theirs.
I remember hearing Love Isn't Easy for the first time and really liking it. I still think it is cute but it is not a favourite.

"Love IsnŽt Easy" was a single in scandinavia, outside from sweden. For the record company it had hit potenial.

I like the "Ring Ring" album very much with itŽs nice oldfashioned sound. "Love IsnŽt Easy" is a happy song, not one of my favorites, but okay.

I always thought, that itŽs a duet of two ABBA members. When I watched the very cute video, I was surprised, that all four stars are singing.

Hi Geir, I have also been fond of the "odd" or less popular songs because of that variation. I like the shared vocals as well.

I have always found it funny that they said one thing twice. It must have been a joke or something called "tongue-in-cheek"?
Love isn't easy = love is hard
but it sure is hard enough = but it is sufficiently hard for sure, confirming. Hehe! Getting myself lost in translation.

Take out the 'but' and it makes for slightly better grammer but as my friend Geir said about the title, it's like saying, ''I'm smiling, but I'm happy''. :rotfl2:
