    PATHFINDER
    Hey all

Well I just found out that Pathfinder is to hit the movies on April 13th. I will be back from Cherokee by then....oh happy days......... :D :D :D
This is not even a month away!!!!!!!!

I'm so excited to be able to see Nathaniel and Jay and a few others in this movie - I watched the trailer and all I can say is WOW.......

thanks bunches. I proably should have listed this under Nathaniel's site but since it's a movie I thought I'd put it in that section.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    Idril - 23.03.2007, 18:32

I would have done the same, I think

    Re: PATHFINDER

Looks like Pathfinder has already been pulled from the movie houses here in Louisville. I was checking out the times because Linda wanted to go see it and it's not listed anywhere.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    evenstar - 04.05.2007, 04:16

What a shame! Why do you think they did that?

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 04.05.2007, 12:42

one thing is this - if the show doesn't draw a lot of viewers - the cinmena (sorry can't spell) will pull it. United 93 didn't last long being view here in Louisville. Now it could still be playing at other cities in KY.

I guess there wasn't enough "filth" in the movie - sex, nudity, language, drugs, etc. things like that.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I finally saw Pathfinder last night. For some reason they never released it at the cinema over here, so I had to order it online. I wasn't expecting it to be so gory, but it was still a great film. Didn't Nathaniel and Jay look great?! Oh, and it was great to see Karl Urban from my much loved LOTR films in the starring role too!

I haven't seen it yet.
But somehow I want to watch Dreamkeeper again. I dreamt of it a few nights ago (very strange dream by the way) and now I would like to watch it again. :?

You sure know Dreamkeeper !!! Starring Eddie Spears, August Schellenberg, Nathaniel Arcand, Nathan Lee ..., Simon Baker ... and so many others.

    :? :? :? :? :? :? :?

    Re: PATHFINDER

    Idril - 02.01.2008, 16:52

Eric Schweig is in it, too.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 02.01.2008, 18:08

I agree with Anne - I was not impressed with the movie because of all the violence in it but Nat and Jay looked good as did Karl. I've been watching LOTR's while i'm off.

    I don´t think so!

Tantoo Cardinal, Dakota House, Chaske Spencer, Alex Rice, Michael Greyeyes, Tokala Clifford, Sage Galesi, Cody Lightning, Gary Farmer, George Leach ...

Eric is in Into the West ... but this is the Pathfinder thread anyway

    yep, you're right

    Re: PATHFINDER

    evenstar - 03.01.2008, 02:32

Well, I don't know about many of these movies because they are not released over here, I only know what I read about here on the board.

As for Pathfinder, I didn't like all of the violence either, but I watched the behind-the-scenes stuff before I watched the movie, and when they described it as being like "First Blood between the Vikings and the Natives" I had an idea of what I was in for...

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 03.01.2008, 17:11

I should have watched the special features before I decided to watch it.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    evenstar - 15.01.2008, 03:22

Well, I rented Dreamkeeper last weekend and it was a great movie (or was it meant to be a mini-series)? Anyway, it was great to see some of the Native American legends brought to life on the screen. Nathaniel looks great with long hair!

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 15.01.2008, 05:03

oh yes it's a wonderful movie.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    Soccer_lady - 16.01.2008, 19:41

I saw Pathfinder, I did like some parts, not everything.
I loved Russell Means as Pathfinder, so calm, so wise...

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 17.01.2008, 16:20

Yes Pathfinder was different but the actors/actresses did an outstanding job. I would not have wanted to be around that much violance but then I'm not an actress.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    mouseears89 - 21.01.2008, 05:51

Yes Pathfinder was a VERY violent movie. I think they were trying to depict the animal instincts of the ancient cultures. Karl Urban was hot in that movie too- it must be the long hair!! (right Evenstar??)

Haha- okay time to take a vote: how many of us are more attracted to men with long hair? Or to men who sometimes have short hair, but like them better with the long hair?

Personally, I like a clean long haired man: however, not everyone looks good that way. Eddie and Michael are HOT with long hair, but Adam Beach- not so much. Only my opinion- don't want to cause any rifts.

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 21.01.2008, 15:19

who doesn't mind looking at them. (Mike and Eddie)

    Re: PATHFINDER

    newnativspirit - 21.01.2008, 17:04

men with long hair do catch my eye, but as mouseears already mentioned, it doesn´t always look good on the guy - depends. It has to fit in some way - but if it does, it´s perfect ... like Eddie and Michael - that´s for sure. I´ve already met a few Native guys with long hair (no celebrities) and they just looked good. I prefer long black hair! So Karl Urban with long hair is not that interesting for me ...

    Re: PATHFINDER

    enelya06 - 21.01.2008, 17:17

yes and some look good with short hair. I think you have to have the face to wear your hair long (if you are a man).

Karl was hot in the film. I've liked him ever since I saw him in LOTR (and there was another movie after that which I can't recall the name of).

*lol* Yeah, I'm in agreement about the long hair thing! I also agree with what Anne said about long, dark hair. I'm sure I've already told you before but I didn't like Orlando Bloom with long, blonde hair in LOTR. Don't hurt me for saying this, but I think the dark hair looks more masculine somehow. Oh, and yes, clean hair is always better (although I've always maintained that Viggo Mortensen looked fantastic with his wet, dirty hair in LOTR) *lol*

maybe your talking about DOOM where Karl played side by side with "The Rock"

    Finally saw the movie Pathfinder.
    and man what a movie.
loved it for the most part.
don't mind violent movies as long as it has a message.

i only had 2 little "hufs" during the movie.
1: the beginning was kinda long for my liking
    and
2: that part with the Natives and The Trap (wel i don't want to spoil ti for the others ,so hope you all know hat i'm talking about)
i was screaming my lungs out ,with words like "Stupid" and "Why ooh Why" . i was soo aggitated after that ,but that soon changed to normal when i saw Jay & Karl together.

    how bueatifull.
    loved Russel Means character.
he was soo wise and peaceful

    and "Ghost" Father
i think it was played by Wayne Charles Baker.
loved his character also. to bad his one didn't last till the end :?

I have it - so next time you´ll come to visit, we´ll watch it. Just have to make sure that the kids are not around ...

@ eddiefever: sorry, don´t know what you mean

    Re: PATHFINDER

    Soccer_lady - 17.04.2008, 15:52

    @ Eddiefever:

Do you mean the part where the Natives wanted to attack, but jumped into a hole?? That was the part where Jay fell on a wooden stick with his leg, right??

If it's that part that you mean, I know what you felt at that moment.
I went like, NOOOOO, YOU CAN"T DO THAT, IT"S A TRAP!!!!!!

You should've seen my husbands face...LOL

There was 1 part that made me cry.
It was the part where Pathfinder got torn apart by horses...
