Legendary LED ZEPPELIN guitarist Jimmy Page is to give evidence in a Scottish court against a man accused of bootlegging the band's live concerts.
Page will appear as a witness at Glasgow Sheriff Court in the case against businessman Robert Langley, of Buckingham.
Langley, 59, was arrested at a record fair in the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow, two years ago, with £26,000 (approximately $50,000) of allegedly pirated CDs.
Among the massive haul was a range of previously unreleased live material by LED ZEPPELIN, including a concert at Knebworth, England, in 1979.
Page, 63, flew up to Scotland and spent a day with investigators from the British Phonographic Institute, identifying the material and confirming they were recordings of the band's work. He will give evidence about how badly the band has been affected by bootlegging in the last 30 years.
Songs from the tapes - including classics such as Stairway To Heaven and Whole Lotta Love - will be played in court.
Langley has been charged with offences under the copyright act and has pled not guilty.
Thirty years ago, Led Zeppelin, who formed in 1968, were the most popular rock band in the world - the second best-selling band of all time behind the Beatles.
Stairway To Heaven was voted the best rock song of all time.
The band broke up in 1980 when drummer John Bonham died a few days before the group was to embark on a major tour.
In the 1970s, Page - who now lives near London - bought spooky Boleskine House, near Loch Ness.
He sold the former home of controversial Satanist Aleister Crowley for £225,000 in 1990.
