I listen to the Soundfactory mix of When you Walk In The Room almost daily. I'm caught in a loop it seems! I can't seem to get enough of the song. This mix, in particular. It makes my stomach do somersaults when her voice comes in- real tingles down the spine stuff. I'm curious to know if anyone else has this fixation? For that is what it seems to be. It was IITYECYM, and I still totally adore that song but I've stopped playing it for a while as I want to re-discover it once the nice weather kicks in and I'm lolling around in next to nothing showing off my six pack! :shock: :lol:
But for now, and the forseeable future, I have a love affair with WYWITR.

Doesn't she, Gill? And yet so different on each song. I love her sensitivity on IITYECYM but she is so punchy and dynamic on WYWITR- she sounds happy, confident and strident. I just lurrrrve her voice!

I picture this very young, very Swedish looking girl with the very big voice making very pure angelic tones with songs she wrote herself. When will they invent time-travel so we all can go?

And today, just like everyday for the last 2 months I'm listening to My Colouring Book while I'm surfing the web.
I like it more each time I listen to this cd > evey song is wonderful > too bad it wasn't released as a double.

Well, she was, but to be honest, I guess she never would have made it to the world star scene. She most likely would have stayed a local Scandinavian star. I hardly can imagine one of the four would have done better in total than they did together.

I agree that it's all conjecture, and we know Agnetha was Swedish to the core. It's likely I would never have heard of her or enjoyed her early music so much if it wasn't for ABBA. :D
To go International, she would have needed a benevolent promoter, and that wasn't Dieter or Björn - these guys were more interesting in promoting themselves than Agnetha. Didn't Aggie learn English later than the others?? :wink:

The recordings of ISA that I had heard previously had poor quality audio. When you hear it sung with a good quality audio the woman's talents as a live performer come shining through. As for The Queen of Hearts, apparently recorded in 1985, I'm a bit perplexed as to why it was never released. I just love listening to it....
