The secret of recording "Shine"
Hi
Maybe I'm looking more into this than I should but I have always found it strange that we never got many photographs when Frida was in the studio recording "Shine". I have only ever seen the few pictures from the "From ABBA to Mamma Mia" book over the years, I would have loved to have had more photos of her with all the musicians from the recording sessions esp with Kirsty MacColl and Steve Lillywhite.
There are loads of photos from the recording sessions of "Somethings Going On" but hardly any from "Shine" even a documentary or TV special would have been great to give us more insight into the process involved in recording "Shine". What I have read in the past they all seemed to have had fun in the studio during this time.
I just feel that in 82 and Agnetha's solo years in 83 and 85 we had loads of photos of the recordings and Documentary/TV Specials but not much in 84 for "Shine".
If anyone has any other photo's from that at time I would love to see them.
Cheers
Blair

You have raised a good point there, I have oftern wondered that as well, There was a TV Special for Wrap Your Arms Around Me, Eyes Of A Woman- A For Agnetha, Something's Going On and yet nothing for Shine.

Hello Blair
I also would have liked to have seen more promotional photo's interviews from around the Shine period, I think because of the lack of promoting from the record companies this may have been an injustice to the sales of shine,In the uk especially, Ps Blair there is a promo signed postcard from shine on ebay at the moment
