Good idea. I've watched these a few times because there are some nice Aggie smiles, but I can't understand a word - well maybe one or two. It would be great if some kind soul would paste them all together and put sub-titles on the video. I know that's a time consuming task, but I'll watch and wait. (Maybe I'll PM the user who put them up.)

I can't help with translations, but it's very nice to see an obviously very relaxed Agnetha who's enjoying the show. I sometimes think there's a huge difference between the "English" and the "Swedish" Agnetha.
Thanks
Joachim

Hi!
Interesting - I never saw this programme before!
I'll try to help with a translation! It takes some time, so here's half of it, the rest will follow later!
( A = Agnetha S = Staffan, the other progamme leader )
( clip 1 )
A : Now it's my turn to surprice Staffan, actually.
S : Is it? With what? A boys quire?
A : No boys quire, a rock King!
S : Rock King? No! Now you're kidding!
A : No!
S : But, who? Where from?
A : From Jönköping, or actually, from Norra Hammar.
S : No....I'm not buying that!
A : You have to!
S : A rock King from Norra Hammar....no,no,no!
A : This is how it is : Little Gerhard, you know the one who discovered me
was elected swedens rock King in 1957.
S : Yes, I like him - is he comming now?
A : No! But, the one elected the year after, had the name Bengt "Spinken"
Johansson then...
S : Never heard of him...
A : No... ( giggle ) Today his name is Tärnham ( ? ) and he's comming
here! Ho!
( clip 2 )
A : I've got to tell a joke!
S : No! No! No!
A : About Cheeky Fredrik!
S : No! Absolutely not!!
A : I want to!
S : Not now! Not in Jönköping - in direct TV. We've got 3 minutes to fill..
A : Right!
S : Do we have a script?
A : No, we didn't write a script for this part, cause we thought what we had
would fill out time. Now it hasn't, how are we going to fill it out?
( clip 3 )
S : .....you
A : Thanks.. ( giggle ) how kind he is! But, really, we should thank John
Bauer from Jönköping for the fact that we know what trolls and fairy
tail princesses look like.
S : We should indeed do that! It's him who draw them for the first time,
and now we're gonna see what his fairy tail world looks like in
Jönköping director Åsa Dyrting's version..
As I said, the rest will follow later

Thanks for this. Although I always enjoy looking at Agnetha, it's even more fun to know what she's saying. I'll wait for the rest. Thanks again.

A little background for these clips (for those that don't already know). This was at Jönköpingsyra in 1984 a celebration of the 700th anniversary of her home town Jönköping, which Agnetha co-hosted. During the show Agnetha was surprised by a children's choir that sang some of her early solo hits.
Agnetha was so moved she cried:
(picture taken from ABBA on TV)
Very touching.

Here's the remaining clips:
( clip 4 )
A : We can at least say this : We've had a wonderful audience, and no rain, just..
S : Beautiful audience...
A : ... a little, lovely "lucky rain" in the start.
S : Yes, a wonderful audience, and some wonderful days...
( clip 5 )
A : I didn't think we would talk about that, this evening..
S : Oh, yes, now in direct TV, tell us, what was your grades in mathematics!
A : That's a B - question! ( meaning she had the second highest grade, B )
S : That good?
A : Yes, it was, you see!
( clip 6 )
S : ( ? )
A :
S : The cheese cake with jam and cream was about 30 meters long, and
1.5 meters wide.
A : Yeah, enormous
S : Yes!
That was it, the last clips turned out to be very short...
